When ya think about it... it's pretty funny, the fact Sammy scored after the "we're on the pitch" chants <laugh> What a hero.

Pretty ****ing stupid that it all kicked off and went nuts, but ya can't help but find it a little bit funny, no?

The match had no significance whatsoever by the looks of things, Sky Sports didn't even mention that the game was going on and there was no radio or TV coverage either. I imagine that the US tour will be the real kickstart to our pre-season matches.

But yes... pretty amusing considering it was merely a tiny friendly.

I don't think Ashley will at all want to award the fans pleas with a better contract for Barton after they attack his lackey...

This is the paper banned from Newcastle and known to tell lies about us, I am not believing it till I see a more credible source.

" Bollocks he was getting fingers pointed in his face and shouted at by 3 fans when he walked into bar 66. They were constantly hammering him about where the 35m has gone. He left to go to the reception when I saw him in there 5 mins later he hadn't been beaten at all. Just pissed off."

It was inevitable, I knew as soon as they started to sing it that he'd score, I just didn't think so many would have taken it among themselves to actually go on the pitch. Looked funny at first but was really a bit too much. If it had been a League game the ref would have taken the players off and called the game off. A loss of points and a massive fine for the club.

Aye, at first when I read that it was happening it seemed amusing, but I thought it would've only been 100 or so, and definitely not to the extent that it was! A joke's a joke, but they definitely took it too far. Lets just be glad that it wasn't a league game as you say, but can't help but think the fans just went for it because they thought they'd get away with it, with it being 'just a friendly' and all.
Joke's a joke, but to the extent that it went to it's ridiculous. God knows what our players were thinking.
