I know its not a good idea to post so soon after a disappointing performance and that leaving things a while sometimes helps you get a more balanced view of things, but... On what planet are Polter and Thomas considered to be attacking options worthy of any professional team let alone one looking for a return to the Premier League? As evidence of Les Ferdinand's ability to pick out good value players these two are about as bad examples as you can get. And don't get me started on the lack of any recognisable tactics or motivation from Ramsey. Extremely worried about our long term future tonight.
Ferdinand's heroic status (until then my favourite player of all time) vaporised on the night of the long knives http://www.not606.com/threads/redknapp-gone.290959/#post-7569338
When I saw him giggling with some arsehole before the game I thought "that guy's a snake". Great job he's done so far innit?
Who told you we are trying to return to the PL, at least this season? If you want powerful and instant gratification I suggest heroin fentanyl. Cut your cloth, beggars can't be choosers etc etc.
Sir Stan speaks the truth..it will be a hard season Hoopster We are only must starting...and the only way is up.... I hope.
Very disappointed with the performance today but also realistic in the view that what we are trying to do will take alot more time than I first thought. I don't think anyone at the club has stated they expect promotion and therfore I personally don't have those expectations either. I am concerned however by our total lack of ability to retain possession for more than 3 or 4 passes. My local amateur team can keep the ball better and for longer. After seeing Perch and konchesky play, I would much prefer furlong and kpekwa to start if the stability expectations are to be believed. These are players for the future but I believe the future should be starting now!
One of the worst performances I have ever seen at Loftus Road - no exaggeration. No flow, no passion, terrible atmosphere....... Gutted.
Lost a lot of respect for Sir Les back in January when he put his own ambition ahead of the club in order to force out Rednapp rather than working on strengthening the squad at the time to give ourselves a decent chance of staying up. Now we're shopping in the poundshop & staying in the Championship is a more realistic aim than a return to the Premier League.
I think you must be exaggerating.......there have been many far worse than that over the years...... Perhaps we should have a meltdown thread...... To put it in perspective Cardiff started with a side that were all at the club last season, we had 5 newcomers.....Russell Slade is a canny old bugger who gets teams to play in a certain way and they stick to it...make no mistake Cardiff won't be far away from the top come May..... I don't recall Green having to make a save today other than the 2 they scored, we have several chances to make the game safe, Phillips, JET, Austin plus their keeper made a few decent saves.......give it a few weeks, jeez we're only 2 games into a 46 game season.....
You cant have been going to Loftus Road for very long. There has been far worse performances than that
It's a gutter today - it's a bit raw still. However, I have had a bellyful of watching us throw leads away or get pipped in last few minutes. Happened a lot last season. The game itself was incredibly boring. Apart from the two goals, literally nothing to get excited about. 3 passes was our limit today. or 'head-tennis'.
The smallest exaggeration. Terrible game to watch. Really dull. Sat in the Upper Loft and was surrounded by moaning and complaints for 85 minutes. Some of it clearly rubbed off!!
“I thought we had the game won. From our point of view though, we’ve got to learn to manage the game more effectively" Is he having a laugh? Manage the game better? He's the manager! And he took off possibly our three best players
It definitely wasn't pretty but this team more than any we've had in the last few years will need plenty of time. That said Cardiff for all their possession didn't threaten the goal at all, we had at least three propr chances to put the game to bed. As for Polter, looks made for the championship to me, certainly not going to judge him on a few minutes play.
No, no , thou minglest bloods. One had The draw with Dortmund and Swansea to win by more than one. Everything goody in Hamletland, Birthday as well. Get thee to Calais, thou minglest friendship far. Exit, followed by bear
