    Thankfully this has happened right at the beginning of the season so there is time to see the clear imbalance on the pitch. The midfield is not right and we have made Everton look much better than they are.

    They outplayed us, we had a badly devised game plan and it's no wonder it backfired on us. Everton is one of the teams in the PL against which is suicidal to leave so much free space in the defense, with powerful and fast runners like Lukaku and Barkley you're asking for trouble.

    I take these first few games as getting a good look at the team and seeing what works/doesn't work. Gives Ron a chance to tinker with things that don't work, and I think in some ways it's better to lose 0-3 than 0-1 because it makes it more obvious where the weaknesses are and we can work on rectifying them. It's all a learning curve. I'm sure we'll improve, too.

    Besides, if I remember correctly, last season we played really well against Liverpool in the first game but were atrocious in the second game and it was all doom and gloom. We still finished well in the end!

    We played very badly and went out with a poor tactical approach. It shows that we do need to invest in this squad further and that it will be very important to get injured players back as soon as possible. Only the second game so no need to panic just yet.

    No NO , not at all , just think we need to concentrate on the PL , if we do well in the EL , that will IMHO impact on us in the PL .

    I fully appreciate I am in a majority of one !
