Not sure about 25/1 shot but three I fancy are:

    5:30 - Pandar 11/2
    7:35 - Grey Gem 7/1
    8:05 - Cabuchon 11/2

    Have a good evening

I know jack about flat racing but if I was going to leafy Lingers Park this evening with a coach load of ladies I would be backing WhoestheDaddy in the 7.35.

It took just five minutes of The Morning Line to decide that today was a no bet. It stated last night on the BBC text pages that the going at Newmarket was “good” but they said it was “soft”. Then 20 minutes later the Channel 4 Muppets gave out a correction to “good”, so today is not a betting washout.

In the Newmarket 2:15, there are 16 Shades Of Grey and I like old boy Crew Cut over Steve Prescott. Crew Cut’s Ascot conqueror DAWN’S EARLY LIGHT can continue his winning sequence for Hayley Turner in the 2:50 despite the 11lb hike for winning by an easy three lengths.

The best bet on the card appears to be Mark Johnston’s BLUE WAVE, who surprised when winning over fourteen furlongs at Goodwood on debut; a race in which I had backed the other Johnston horse! Joe Fanning can double the five-year-old’s tally for the season at 4:00 as last year’s winner Fattsota has too much weight and the bottom weight Important Message won a poor polytrack maiden last time.

Johnston and Fanning can complete a double in the last at 5:10 with three-year-old bottom weight Rhythmical, who was totally outpointed at Goodwood by Tashaar on only her second start.

The race of most interest today is over at Deauville. Just six face the starter for the Prix Guillaume d’Ornano, with Prix Du Jockey Club winner New Bay returning after a long layoff to face Prix Eugene Adam winner Dariyan and Grand Prix de Paris runner-up Ampere.

I'm looking forward to the clash between Golden Horn and Gleneagles in the Juddmonte International next week! Both unbeaten as 3-y-o's, I hope Gleneagles stays every yard to make it possibly the race of the season! (if the rain stays away). Who's gonna win? Golden Horn for me, even if Gleneagles stays. But I remember Aidan O' Brien trained horses ending unbeaten records of Motivator and Taghrooda....

I really hope they all turn up but I'm not sure gleneagles will be at his best over 1m2f but perhaps his class will see him prevail. Golden Horn's form is rock solid and I think he'll be very tough to pass but perhaps time test might be too classy for all of them. I don ' t expect to have a bet in it just really looking forward to watching it.

Really looking forward to Golden Horn taking on Gleneagles with Time Test thrown into the mix. Certainly is a catch distance as I think GH is certainly better at 12f and Gleneagles at 8f. I will go with GH as they have added the pacemaker to help make it a real test of 10f which will suit him more, though I do think Gleneagles will stay.

The race of the day for me is the Hungerford stakes and have had a bet on cable bay taking the 10s on offer yesterday. I think he looks much improved this year and still seems progressive, he also seems to have his ground today. Here comes when looks the main danger.

Best bet of the day for me is Theoes Well to win the last at Tramore who looks the most progressive runner of the field. The 6.25 could be Oceania Queens last race as she's up the duff so im hoping the old girl can go out with a bang for my man Pat Martin. Here she comes has the ground in her favour in the Hungerford and this looks an easier assignment than last couple of runs. All priced 9/4 so singles and treble

Awful, simply too awful to be true! Betfred special offer on it too so the bookies well and truly rubbing their hands!

My picks at Newmarket did no good, although at least Dawn's Early Light was drawn on the right side in the sprint finishing third.

It looks like easy Prix Guillaume d'Ornano winner New Bay is heading for the Prix Niel and a showdown with Jack Hobbs.

For what it is worth, I do not think that the Juddmonte International will turn out to be the race of the season.

Golden Horn will win and Gleneagles will not be fighting out a photo finish.

There is more chance of The Grey Gatsby duelling it out.

O'Brien reckons this Gleneagles is like a reincarnation of Giants Causeway and I get the feeling if he goes down he's going down fighting. I think hit could be spectacular but 17mm of rain at York means its good ground now. However, dry forecast next week.
