Well I really hope that we are going to give Lukaku another run out up front today. I was quite shocked to see him dropped after such a successful debut for us.

Same - obviously not there to see , but off with some mates to a cracking sports bar with huge screens, tall leggy east European ladies in white blouses and little back skirts who bring the ice cold lager to you table! :emoticon-0141-whew: (sorry for the moderately sexist comment... actually, I lie..:emoticon-0100-smile)

I'm just slightly worried that the trend in Everton own goals, two a couple of years ago, one last year) means that our strikers will wear themselves out actually putting the ball in the net.

I've had a cheeky bet on 3-2, as I feel both defences are going to be a little leaky but I expect Mane to keep us ahead.

I just saw on the OS that tickets are available for purchase today - a bit disappointing for the first match of a new season, not to get a sell-out in advance. Are Saints fans getting picky about who they watch as opposition, or is it the early kick off? Still, the atmosphere should be rocking, and we may even hear a song from The Chapel. OK, that's pushing it a bit :emoticon-0105-wink:

Maybe a little knock on from the Europa games (despite the very reasonable prices) as it can get a bit too expensive for some.
Also 1245 ko and live on tv will always have an effect.

You do know that your nephew actually thinks your old clothes are retro. They've passed through 'out of date' and come out the other side. :) Mind you I recently saw some stuff from my childhood in a museum. :(

Feeling strangely confident about this game, feeling the usual matchday flutters down below as I iron my Saints shirt in preperation for the game.
Slightly ashamed to say it is the only garment that I iron myself, never mind I'm sure my wife loves ironing?

    2-1. Mane to score first.

I'm going to the Cheltenham game.

Always have some nervousness as the game approached, but will feel better at the game than watching on the telly. The truth is that we know we can beat any team now....not all the time, but often enough to have confidence.

We'll be watching in O'Casey's The Hague's, if not Holland's, best sports bar. I'll suggest tall leggy east European ladies in white blouses and little back skirts to the management. We'll be joined by the growing number of cloggie Saints.

Would be interested in a neutral report from that game Pie. Son in law 2b is number 7. You can't miss him, if he plays.Talks a good game but doesn't always deliver

Tough game today, but hopefully winnable. I think we need as many points on the board now before Europa really kicks off. Everton's defence can be exposed, although as previously mentioned Lukaku v Yoshida is slightly worrisome. Also I think Barkley could be a handful, he seems to be coming into form. Still hoping for a positive result.

On the train down from London after watching Hamlet with Benedict Cumberbatch (brilliant), and can't wait to be at the game today! Buzzing to say the least.

    Win it for Markus.

Yep, it's being brought back out. Saints have said today there'll be tributes to Markus.

The flag will be unfurled on the pitch pre-match, with messages online posted with '#ThankYouMarkus' shown on the screens. There will also be a book of remembrance for supporters to write their thank you messages.
