I hear on faceache that Sandro is due to come back this month, I'm more than happy with this. For me Sandro whilst not setting the world alight hasn't done a lot wrong to deserve the flack he gets from some fans. Whilst you have the likes of Boswaker who clearly didn't give a ****, can't say I have seen that at all with Sandro. You get a lot moaning about the 10 million transfer fee, which as far as I'm aware is pure media bollocks that people jump on when they want to have a good moan, from the more reliable media the fee was about 6 mill, still not a small sum but almost half of what people quote, and he had nothing to do with. Next you have the injury issues, which the club must have known about and whilst he must control himself a little isn't really his fault. As far as I'm aware he has never refused to train, play, sit on the bench, sit in the stands and always seems to put in a decent shift. If he returns lets get behind the fella and see what goes on, fed up with players getting slated without getting a proper chance
Only something I read, but thought he was training with Internacional, even so you are probably right
I'm popping over for my holibobs to france at the weekend for a week and a half, happy to give him a lift on my way back, no questions asked
My opinion is that he's **** and doesn't have much interest in playing for us. He'll be injured or suspended or both within five minutes of playing again and probably isn't fit anyway. It would be a real shame if Luongo or Doughty were moved down the pecking order to accommodate this waste of space.
I get what your saying about injuries, however I don't see where he has ever given the impression he doesn't want to play for us, what is that based on?
I agree. He took a while to fit in and get into a good space but when he did he had some quality, effortful performances. I'm just worried about his wages, really. He's a good physical player for the league.
While I'm guessing he's not exactly on minumum wage, to be honest I have no idea what money he's on. The only thing I thought was stated is that by the time he signed there was a wage cap and relegation clauses written into contracts
Doesn't fit in at all with the current set-up. Not looking forward to him coming back. If we have any opportunity to offload him for anything in the vicinity of what we paid for him we should jump at it.
Why don't you think he'll "fit in". I think his experience would be good to have, particularly if more than 1 or 2 of Austin, Green, Fer and Phillips go.
Ability wise he is far better then Championship level, the bonus is that he has the physicality to deal with this league as well that many good players don't, the problem I see is that I think he is someone that needs to play week in week out to get consistency out of him and with our current midfield having quality in large numbers he may not get enough game time to shine.
he´s a sicknote and has been slated for that reason no good being a ´BEAST´ made of porcelain, but we´ve always had a perenial sicknote and so Sandro is this season´s medical team´s challenge.
I honestly believe that's because he is genuinly injured, rather than some of the injuries that seem somewhat convenient, if anyone is to blame there it's the medical team that allowed the transfer to go through.
I don't think he's the sort to knuckle down in the Championship and I doubt he'll feel obliged to help us after being pretty ineffective and part of the reason we went down. I expect he saw himself as bigger than QPR before but got a lucrative offer from the one manager who would give it to him and I'm sure he sees himself as bigger than QPR as it is now. If he stays I think it's because no one will match what he's on and he likes being in London, not because he has any interest in going to Wolves on a Wednesday night.
