There have been a few threads on here bemoaning the sad state of Welsh international football, various ideas have been put forward to help solve the problem, change the coaching methods, change the structure, change the manager etc. etc.

All these ideas have merit, and may improve a Welsh sports fans lot, as it's Friday however I have been pondering mightily on the problem, and believe I have the answer.

    CHANGE THE FIXTURE LIST

Now, if Wales were to play India at football, Germany at cricket and Brazil at rugby, well that's it victories over three of the giants of world sport beaten, this would lead to an upsurge of interest in Welsh international sport, more kids taking an interest, and getting off their playstations and on to the pitche's........which would lead to an all round improvement in standards and a fitter healthier younger generation, this would reduce the burden on the NHS in Wales, which would free up more money, which could be used to fund more sports facilities.........which would give more people the chance to play sport.......thus improving the standards even more <ok>

This could snowball into worldwide success for Welsh sport, nothing to it really,

so Rhodri Glyn Thomas, get the cheque in the post ;)

Good article and timely given the seeding sitch Broph.

I think we suffer from the 'ten man factor'. By that I mean, when the crowd acts as a 'twelth man' and is seen to aid the players, we seem to have the opposite situation. Empty stadiums seem to feel like a morgue and I imagine really acts as an antagonising atmosphere for the players. More needs to be done to fill our stadiums when Wales play. Smaller venues, outside of Cardiff (for the novelty factor too) cheap tickets with children's promotions (investing in future fans). When there is a demand to see Wales again, which I'm sure in time there will be again, then we can think about dearer tickets and the Millenium Stadium. But for now, the stay away factor is our worst enemy.

Simple solution to get us to the top
    1. Football get Brazil to play for Wales there must be a qualifying link somewhere
    2. Rugby get New Zealand,Australia or S.Africa links as above
    3. Cricket who gves a f**k ...Simples
