Well i certainly don't mind if i am stood corrected on my remarks come end of November when we will have a better idea of how our season is panning out.
I think it might be you mate. I thought he put a shift in tonight (for 70 mins anyway) but like everyone else for the last 20 minutes he just took it easy Rambo will have a go at them for that
Good result. Glad Hall had a decent game. I was impressed with him against atalanta and reckon he could be a good find.
Good Result, Poulter looked to have done well to get us going, Kip the Fullback looked ok too. Spent the rest of the evening repair my back gate after we secured the result early on. Strange feeling.
It made a change to see decent effort levels from our 2nd string in a cup game for once. Good intensity from start to (practially) finish. I think we'll do better in the cups now we have players who don't see our club/these competitions as below them.
Just got in, expecting the usual early exit - I am happy with the result. But ominous rumblings - Brentford 0-4-Oxford U at Griffin Park. I have a whole load of bad memories from 30 years back in this competiion. I really do wish I had discovered QPR back before when we won this thing
@Tblackwood17: Elated to have made my pro debut. Thanks to everyone who helped me get here, but more importantly thanks to those who said I never would. @polti1991: Hello Qpr, I am very happy today about the Performance of the Team and my first goal, see you on Saturday for my first home game⚽️✌️@QPRFC @phillips_matty: A lot of positives from tonight, solid performance need to take that into Saturday back at loftus! Travelling support great as always #R'sss
To add to what's been said before... We got a decent result for the amount of effort put in and the opposition. In the first 10 to 15 minutes we held the ball well enough and denied Yeovil possession but didn't show much penetration with our final passes. No-one seemed to know where Poulter and JET were going and too many passes to static feet. In that period, Yeovil stacked midfield and defence when they didn't have the ball and waited for us to go to them. In the second half there were a couple of excellent early through balls into space for Poulter to run onto which showed promise for future games. Yeovil occasionally moved forwards at pace with purpose and a better team doing so will cause more trouble at the back, I think. We handled them well enough, but I'm a worry wart about these things. In the main, the game had an air of "training match" about it. Once 3-0 was assured, we did, as noted, drop off badly and went onto the back foot but were rarely under proper pressure. Great save from Greeny at the end, but his last few kicks out were sloppy. Overall? Work in progress that's moving forwards and a banana skin avoided. Next!
From London 24 """ QPR boss gives injury update on Charlie Austin after ‘treatment’ prevented Yeovil run-out 08:21 12 August 2015 please log in to view this image Charlie Austin of QPR celebrates (Photo by Matthew Lewis/Getty Images) 2015 Getty Images QPR boss Chris Ramsey is hopeful Charlie Austin will be in contention for selection at the weekend after he sat out the Hoops’ 3-0 Capital One Cup win over Yeovil. Austin has been the centre of a summer storm of transfer speculation with a number of Premier League suitors eyeing up his services including Newcastle, West Ham, Spurs, Crystal Palace and Leicester. But it was a new summer signing - hoping to cement the striker’s place as his own - who opened the scoring on Tuesday night as young German Sebastian Polter made the most of Stephen Arthurworrey’s error to slot home. It was a comfortable night for QPR ahead of their weekend clash with Cardiff, thanks to further goals from Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and captain Nedum Onuoha, who was singled out for praise by the manager. Ramsey said: “It was Nedum’s 100th appearance and he is leading by example, I was really pleased. I thought Sebastian Polter worked his socks off up front and pushed to make that position his. “It was a job well done in what could have been a potential banana skin. I was a bit more animated than I would have been at 3-0 because I wanted to make sure we stayed professional and didn’t let them score. “Charlie Austin had treatment today so I hope he’s going to be fit (at the weekend), he is one that you need to be fit and pushing for a good performance. “I think that he has not rocked the boat and not made disturbances in the changing room, asking to leave or anything so I am hoping he will be in contention to be picked. “We had nine full debuts tonight so it’s always hard to gel into a team, but I think we are in that process.” Yeovil manager Paul Sturrock bemoaned a combination of individual errors and a growing injury list for his side’s second defeat in four days. The Scot said: “We can’t legislate for individual mistakes. Stephen (Arthurworrey) is a bit down in there and so he should be, he has been involved in a couple of goals lately. It is costing us dear and we cant get started when we are chasing the game. “I thought in the first half we lost two bad goals and the heads went down. We came out in the second half and were a bit more positive and, at the end of the day, could maybe have got a goal back. “I’ve got about six players injured at the minute who would probably be starting. It’s difficult to get a settled team to the standard I’m looking for. “The only place we can sort this is on the training ground, nowhere else. But the trouble is I’ve only got about 15 players to choose from - it’s a bit disappointing the way it’s turning out for us at the moment.” """
