Does anyone think that the local media have been a bit slack this season? I remember in previous seasons the local journalists used to be all over signings like a rash e.g. giving lots of hints on twitter, they've been slacking a bit this season.
It's at times like these I miss Superman's input, he would have quashed those Destro rumours straightaway rather than let everyone pant wet over the possibility
I used to proof-read his blogs for him! Hadn't heard from him for ages until he emailed about Veltman today!
Pretty sad really when the not606 Norwich board is making up transfer rumours because we have an inept CEO .................. ...........COAT !
Not really for this thread, but Stoke getting Xerdan Shaqiri is pretty insane. I know they were supposedly linked much earlier in the transfer window, but I had assumed that fell through because of him and they got other signings instead. They have a pretty incredible squad now (though obviously didn't help so much on Saturday).
The last couple of seasons you could see about 12 teams having a chance of ending up in a relegation scrap. The way the bottom half have strengthened over the summer is ludicrous, there's an awful lot of teams who you'd expect to finish solidly mid-table, and push for Europa. Beyond the big "4+2", Everton, Southampton, Swansea, Palace, Stoke and West Ham I'd expect to be utterly safe. Leaving the three promoted teams, WBA, Sunderland, Villa to scrap for relegation. Then Leicester and Newcastle who could be fine or utterly implode.
I'd love that. Not good enough for Chelsea, but definitely a Premiership goalscorer. Just need AN to batter him about keeping onside!
