I played a 442; my keeper got -2, my defence got 1, 7, 0 & 2 and everyone else got 2pts Even two of my subs got two, the third (Cresswell) got 6 though. My sub keeper even thought "**** this" and ****ed off to Forest on loan
@Sebb's Campaign Manager If the ref had done his job properly and sent off Mitrovic then I'd have beaten you
What's a decent score for an individual player? My goalkeeper and three of my four defenders each conceded two goals at the weekend. The other defender conceded four! #rodgersstyle
How does that work? Were they already in the game before the weekend but just hadn't joined the league?
Others would be better placed to answer this. If your captain gets a hat-trick then they could score around 40pts I believe. Highest individual scorer I've seen from this weekend is Silva on 12pts (as captain). A acceptable score would be around 5 or 6 pts I believe but you'd need a higher scorer or two each week to keep up with the leaders.
I think if a player gets 5/6 it tends to be a good week. Defender/Keeper means would have usually kept a clean sheet (4 points) Midfielder getting an assist (3 points) Forward scoring (4 points) Then couple points additional for each playing and then might get some bonus points etc. Do that and you'll get 60odd points each week which will most probably win you the thing.
I think Puncheon top-scored for me with five. The others were between -1 and 2 I think. So...pretty terrible by the sounds of it.
I really should have put more time and effort into picking my initial squad. I did it in about five minutes
Who the hell are all the teams on the H2H? I thought it was just the people from the standard league. And why are they all ahead of me?
Sebb's character: Lethario and animal rights activist, Mayor Bernaponi is Reedbackweeds' newly appointed local political official, and owner of Reedbackweeds United. It was rumoured Mr Bumder was due to stand against Mayor Bernaponi for the position, however due to Mr Bumder's untimely death, Major Bernaponi subsequently defeated the next candidate, which was a piss bucket in the corner of the village hall hilariously submitted as candidate by one of the residents, by 6 percent. Despite Major Bernaponi having just arrived in town and taken over the local football club (which has mysteriously started winning a lot more matches, and the refs have equally mysteriously and spontaneously started showering red cards upon the opposition), Mayor Bernaponi has risen to the elite of Reedbackweeds community. Hobbies include racketeering (which most of us call tennis, not sure why he's so posh) and loan sharking (why anybody would want to loan a shark is also beyond us). #justsaying
We all know things can look very different at the end to how they look after the first week. Hopefully.
To all those who don't know, Biscan will happily write "John Terry - Captain, Leader Legend" in his signature if he fails to beat me at FF. Following a graph of our mr Astroturfnaught i'm current 2 points ahead of Biscan and climbing.....
Balotelli wants to be a celebrity, not a footballer, says Di Canio Mario Balotelli must sort the "demons in his brain" to realise his potential, according to Italian compatriot Paolo Di Canio. Former Sunderland boss Di Canio believes Balotelli is more interested in being a "celebrity" than a footballer, and is in danger of wasting his natural talent. The 24-year-old has had a chequered career, making headlines for the wrong reasons during stints with Inter Milan, Manchester City and now Liverpool. He scored just once in 16 Premier League outings for the Reds last term, and Di Canio has urged him to sort out his attitude
