The Channon horse is really interesting in that race reappearing under his penalty quickly after disappointing on Saturday. Channon must really feel that he should be winning before his mark goes up considerably.

Morning, you sinners. Are you all still picking the winners?!? Good, good.

Strange time this for the old racing. The period between Goodwood and York is in the main, as usual, about as appealing as an Ed Mililband (cor blimey whatever happened to him) speech. Still the last time I checked the 5/1 winner of a bad race paid the same as a 5/1 winner of a Classic so don't be too downheartened, troops.

One important thing though. Because Mr Henderson, the forum's favourite trainer, won't be having a number 1 or retaining a saddle monkey in term 2015/16 'Dazzler' Jacob will be Peace and Co's new rider. Comes via his link with Messrs Munir & Souede who always use him when the barn in question don't have a retained or usual saddle monkey.

Good luck to those who are wagering today.

Lasagne and chipped potatoes. Tasty. 7/10

Serious question, people. Who do we reckon will get the leg up on Time Test next week at York??? Am greatly looking forward to him taking on The Golden Horn but am seriously at a loss to predict who his jockey will be. It won’t be either of his pilots from this term as sadly dear old Ryan is sidelined whilst the Dettori creature will be aboard his Derby winner – although it is rumoured that old boys Gosden and Oppenheimer had to frogmarch him away from Time Test’s girths kicking and screaming.

I’m sure Mr Charlton would put up either The Doyler or Georgie Baker but the decision will ultimately rest with ‘The Prince’ and old boy, Lord Teddy. Most baffling and I understand the Buick boy is out of the question having already committed to Criterion.

Well Willie hasn't had a bumper winner in the last two meetings now so must be due one
He is a little concerned with the softer ground (see his comments below) so will interesting to see how soft it is. Of course with AOB now firmly back in the NH sphere to help his kids and with Elliott in great form this year, these bumpers are a bit more competitive these days.

"Where’s Me (Aubrey McMahon) makes her debut in the 4yo bumper over 2m 1f. She has a real good pedigree and we think she will be well suited by summer racing. A slight worry here is that she might prefer drier ground. Aubrey, who was seen to good effect on Rio Treasure last season, claims a valuable 7lbs." (From Mullins website)

Looking forward to seeing Time Test step up to Group 1 company. Doyle would be pretty logical given his Charlton/Abdullah connections.

What would have really made the race a fire cracker is Gleneagles rocking up for a bash at 10f on nice fast ground. However he is being pointed at the Prix Jaques Le Marois, which could yet yield some tacky ground. Whether 'the lads' would re-route to York after that I'm not sure. It's probably the perfect time to step him up- take on the unbeaten Derby winner at his optimum trip so that you have a tailor-made excuse if he loses. Win it and Gleneagles reputation becomes stratospheric.

The speckled one has done well in bumpers this year and is now fav after a rather poor effort in a Galway hurdle last month.Im never one to take Willies comments to seriously tbh, says the same oul craic bout most of his runners! My only concern is the slight drift on the price.
In 6.40 Mossey Island ought to he up to winning a race like this, 7/2 seems like a decent price.

Back Willie's in the first race lads. Ciandarragh. If she handles the soft she should have too much pace for them at the business end. Good luck.
