Just seen this on the rumours site: 15 Jul 2011 12:54:23 Watford will sign Dundee United left back Paul Dixon for an undisclosed fee next week (he wants to move and is out of contract next year). Dychey is also looking at handing ex Derby forward and free agent Chris Porter a possible 2 year deal providing he proves his fitness. This will complete the Hornets summer signings although an extra striker maybe loaned in towards the beginning of the season depending on injuries at the time. Reliable Source at Watford. See you all later on, I am off to take my son and daughter out to tea in Aylesbury!
They actually sounds realistic PSH The Porter one keeps popping up, so maybe somehting in it... unless it is the same person The Scottish link of the left back sounds about right Bas did say 2 strikers, but with Yeates being a winger and striker, they may feel they have covered that... and maybe try and get Weimann in on a season loan!
It does all sound quite plausible...and in the latest interview Sean did say bringing in one or two more...so maybe that's that once the last couple are in..i'd love to see Weimann back...
I doubt he will go to Cardiff, their reach is far higher than AW and they could afford to buy someone instead. I think he would come back given the chance, as he will get the time on the pitch to prove himself to the Villa powers where as Cardiff he might not. Also dont players who go on loan perfer the devil they know??
It was said tongue in cheek Dan... Although you could say 'better the devil you know' being just as much Malky as it is Watford Hopefully we can bring in one striker on a permanent deal, and would like to see Weimann back - but would that make Weimann 4th choice? Great to have competition though, and a bit of squad rotation!!
definitely would love to see a permanent striker...but AW too...and i don't know if he'd be a permanent 4th choice, i'm sure we could play Deeney a little further back and have Weimann and Sordell up front..with the new addition fighting for a place..maybe?
Yeah i know, i said it more to settle my nerves. Yeah, i have always wondered why its the manager who is the attraction, surely its the way the club is set up with is an attraction and how they play then the squad??
You would have thought so- let's hope so! Weimann seemed to enjoy it here and still has good banter with some of the players, so let's hope Watford is the choice, and not Malky if it comes to it.... but sure Cardiff have 'bigger' fish to fry! On other news - it looks like Danny Webber might be signing for QPR now!!
AmCharts has a good set of widgets to use for things like a Bazometer. Currently using it for a system I own at work. Might be worth a look? http://flex.amcharts.com/ In terms of signings, I'd like LeFondre, if for nothing else than the name and images it conjures of a Frenchman combing his hair at an American diner alongside Henry Winkler. Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield might be worth a pop too, but I have to imagine both of the aforementioned are going to be a little expensive. I guess time will tell. Prior to Wednesday, I was getting a little restless about the signings, but now I am contented, in fact if anything, given we have Super Marv and the magical wooden horse (Troy), a left back is more the need. Dixon sounds like he fits the bill.
Both Porter and Dixon have been linked with us for a few weeks now so its a possible. Don't know much about Porter but Dixon is well thought of - both have had injury problems I think.
from rumour site young watford midfielder connor smith will go on loan with bradford city might help him progress!!
