Where was that? Yeah I don't think he'd give a date if it wasn't a formality. They got their fingers burnt saying something similar about a managerial appointment not too long ago. And please Neil, not Joey Barton.
I just saw that on Newsnow and was going to post the link (oops, too late!) http://www.norwich.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=408451 Does the boss wants a united work ethic and team harmony or riot, insurrection and civil war? In fact Grabban's miss early in the game yesterday suggests he'd already had a cigar stubbed out in his eye
I think we do need another striker in the Jerome mold, but I also think Grabban has a role to play. If Whittaker's cross had been a split second later he'd have scored. As it was he was stretching for it and couldn't get enough control on it.
He also had a point blank range shot from the right saved that may have gone in with a little more luck.
He also spent a lot of time in midfield (an area we were dominating) which meant that often the furthest player forward was Howson or Bradders. I admire the work ethic but perhaps it wasn't necessary yesterday whereas having a focal point for our attacks was.
I think if we had started with Redmond and Jerome yesterday we would be probably be talking about a win or at least a draw. I think Neil got it wrong looking back on it. Not having a pop at him or anything but I think the team selection was wrong.
A little bit but we did create a few good chances in the first half. Obviously it's frustrating when good opportunities are missed but I'd be more concerned if we weren't creating any chances at all.
17 shots, 6 on target isn't that blunt, especially as it should have been 19 & 8 with Jerome's goal and the penalty we should have had. Having said that though, I'll be glad when Jerome and Redmond start and Grabban comes on as an impact sub. Then there's the new striker McNally says will be signed on tomorrow.
I don't have a source, DH, but it was mentioned with some authority earlier. It was NCFCSnowy at the bottom of the previous page on this thread. I certainly hope he's right!
