    Well happy with result.
    Not saying we will finish second or even in top four but the season before last first three games were won one nil - lets just be happy :)

    Terrible match but we got the result, we couldn't have complained with a draw but we'll take a lucky win any time. I am sure Rodgers will <ok>

    There is room for improvement, but remember Sakho did not play today and Can and Firminho were not fit enough to start.

    With a fully fit squad I can see Lallana starting from the bench and possibly Ibe to allow Can and Firminho to start.

    Really happy with the win, not bothered about performance really, no team at this stage is 100%, right now it's about results, the rest will come. And with that said, one of the more difficult fixtures over and done with.

    If I were to take anything from today...

    - Defensively more solid, whether that's due to balanced FB's or assistant coaches influence (or both) remains to be seen. We'll see.
    - Hendo and Milner don't work as a CM pairing
    - Can has to play
    - Benteke did well but needs time

    when i said it's all about the result and the performance doesn't matter i didn't expect the performance to be quite that lame but liked the look of Gomez and Lovren was good ( by the law of averages had to happen one day ) but going forward was poor and Benteke must be wondering if sherwood was right purely because we tried to play for a target man and are rubbish at it.

    Winning like that at places like Stoke is where PL titles are won. You should aim to win at least 10 times away from home at the venues of the middle ranking teams in the division plus the odd bonus win at a top 4 contender such as Arsenal in a few weeks and the PL titles will be winging its way into Anfield.
