It reminded me of the Gasgoine Euro 96 one against Germany.
The poor bastard gets ripped to bits before we even kick off then he has the audacity to miss an attempt .
I particularly enjoyed the vitriol from Dangerous Marsupial , he really really dislikes him. <laugh>

I know you're a big fan SN but he's really nothing special, he's a reasonably pacey championship striker. His movement is average and his general finishing is abysmal. He squanders far too many chances. I would like us to get a better version. I'm still disappointed we ended up with him not Calum Wilson last season.

I know he's nothing special and I would swap him for Wilson in a flash too.
I genuinely find it amusing how much stick the poor ****er gets .
We could do with another striker as they are all pretty **** apart from Jerome.

I hope that vacant number 9 shirt has an obvious meaning.

Robert Rosario had a better strike rate than Grabban! <yikes>

I think his movement is probably his strong point, his sneaky not the type of player defenders like marking he does that side of the game well but he struggles to keep onside sometimes, agree about his finishing I remember him struggling with penalties last season he was very lucky at times.

I find that difficult to believe, Dave! <laugh> IMO, Grabban's best role is as an impact sub and/or playing on the right in a 4-2-3-1. Then there's the fact that AN really rates him!

I think it was more a case of CJ and NR not being fully fit, but IMO Hooper would've been a better option, but I'm sure AN had his reasons for starting with Grabban.

Robert Rosario 29 goals in 161 appearances.
Grabban 12 goals in 33 appearances.
Maths may not be my strong point but If Rosario has a better strike rate then that seems very odd.

Gary Hooper 18 in 61 (granted partly at a higher level)
    Winkel 1 in 25
    Lafferty 1 in 18.

    Against Palace I saw 2 shots 1 on target 50% accuracy .
At least he gets into goal scoring positions , he is no Thierry Henry but he will beat Wolfswinkel's and Elmander's haul from 2013/14 .

NB are you being deliberately thick? It's no good getting into goal-scoring position unless you complete the task. I agree Grabban has a lot of talent, but scoring goals, even sitters, isn't one of them!

Sorry, not meaning to insult you, but your defence of this man is so frustrating! <hug>

What an Idiotic comment and also utter crap without wanting to insult you , are you suffering from early signs of dementia ?
I have no idea how many guit edged chances Rosario had but his goals to games ratio is pathetic compared to Grabban's.
Also out of the 5 strikers on our books Alex Neil a man you seem to hold in high regard has Jerome and Grabban as his top 2 with the other 3 likely to be moved on .
Are you right and he wrong , Is he stupid ?
Grabban and Jerome will score goals as Mike says FACT. The same way he shut all his haters up last season even scoring in both derby fixtures.

I agree AN rates him as a team member, he does, after all, bring a lot to the table, but his rate of goals scored from clear-cut chances is horrendous. Many of his goals last season were from scuffed shots, deflected shots and the odd rebound from a saved penalty!
