This gets me, where did you ever get that impression. He's known for doing the hard bit and then fluffing the final delivery. Any check on his stats, youtube vids or memories of him on MotD last season will clearly confirm that. I thought £3m was a good bid for him and we should have walked away. Grabban is not (yet?) PL, but Jerome can do the job. We need to sort out a CB and fast
To be honest, every interview around Brady signing did mention a "cultured left peg" or some equivalent phrase.
We have two prolific referee 'haters' who moan about our referees every game. One even put our 8-0 thrashing from Southampton down to the referees performance I can see how the aftermath of this fixture is going to played out on here already...
Why don't you post on Sundermad any longer? I'll be spending time with several of them next weekend, Syd, Jerry the Jynx, Hieronymus, scatty Moo, Lesmack, Old Black Cat, Sunderpitt and maybe more, would have been good to meet you too!
I never really got going on that site. I'm just not sure of the format and I suppose I'm old fashioned by getting comfortable on here and not being open to change! It would be good to meet you one day Dave. I won't be at the Norwich game, I'll be sat next to my mother who isn't in the best of health. Hopefully, I could get down to Norwich for the return fixture and share a beer with you then. Take care and after our fixture, good luck for this season
Excuse me for questioning the fact that Cam and Redders were not quite fit but surely if they had started they could have been substituted when they ran out of steam. Perhaps they may actually have lasted the full 90. At least that way we would have had more time with them on the pitch and not the bench. it is quite possible giving the opening 20minutes we could have been a couple of goals up.
Not turning against Alex Neil? FFS read your post!!! AN sees the players all week in training and knows who is match fit and who isn't and who is playing well and who isn't. You don't!! One unlucky result against a decent team and straight away the Players, Management and Chief Exec are crap. FFS get real!!!!
We haven't won the first game since 2001 , some of the comments on here make me question my own sanity Welly bunch of bloody doom mongers.
Yeah, and welcome back mate, your posts have so reminded me of those of SN23...where did he go? one of the best Budgie posters...
Yeah, between you and me he knew **** all about football, I had him down as a closet Arsenal fan but you could have a good laugh with him on his day.
A referee and not someone down the bookies* * this is a joke not an accusation I don't want to be sued, that is all.
The defending on those first two goals we absolutely woeful, nobody was marking Zaha on the first even though in fairness the goal came from a quick counterattack, for the second goal whoever was supposed to mark Delaney lost him, last time round we struggled defending set pieces and often people lost the players they were supposed to be marking. All in all not a bad game the score certainly didn't reflect how well we played. Furious about that second goal Simon Hooper should hand in his license **** referee, he was poor in the Championship he doesn't deserve to be in this league, we were robbed. Pro's - We played some crisp neat football yesterday, passed the ball around very well at times, we pressed well and didn't let Palace rule the game. Con's- Marking on set pieces and forwards not taking chances.
On the topic of the ref, this wasn't just his first game in the Premier League, it was a complete trial. He hasn't been promoted to the group of Premier League refs, and I don't believe is expected to do any more Prem games this season.
