Him and Cork together look as solid as the Great Wall of China in the middle. Very impressed with Jonjos temperament considering he was booked early on. Special mention to Taylor too. Eder is on now.
It's really pissing me off how plucky little Swansea should be content with the point and shouldn't make waves and shouldn't rock the boat and should defend their precious point against the mighty Chelsea. How they should be grateful to Chelsea for the scraps.
Great, great performance. Cracking start to the season. MOM for me was Cork with Montero a very close second. Eder did very well when he came on too. Could be a huge season for us again.
Happy with a point, and would have taken that all day, feel we should have grabbed the winner here. Chelsea were let off the hook
From the BBC website So Swansea were the only team to score twice at Stamford Bridge last season and they've done it again today. Great game to kick off the season, although Chelsea might not think so. Still a few cobwebs, clearly.
I predicted 2-2 (lucky guess, yeah!) but we could have won, no doubt. I was very surprised by Monk's starting team but also happy, especially with Montero starting, who was excellent. Maybe he didn't want the "parking the bus" accusation as has enough balls and confidence in his own ability to go for it now. Shelvey was also impressive. After seeing the way we took it to the champions and actually performed as well I'm really, really looking forward to the season
That Gomis is terrible lads. He's so slow so gets caught offside far too often (like RVP last season) and needs an age to pick a pass. If you had a decent striker you'd have won that game today. Montero was outstanding. Never realised what a good player he is.
Well it's the first game of the season, so as he had a goal disallowed and scored a penalty I'll give the benefit of the doubt with him.
