not the best vantage point to see the bigger picture today. But looked a typical tight championship game between two evenly matched teams. They should have had a pen for handball. Our goal was good enough to win any game. We sat off them and they punished us. Wood is great when facing goal but ****e with his back to goal. **** knows what our hoofball was about after they equalised.
I was pretty pleased with the display, I was surprised at how poor Wood was in the air, actually thought he was our worst player. Players, manager and benches reaction was good when we scored very passionate. For those attending, Murphy made some interesting comments on Sky when asked what is different this season. He said it isn't for him to comment on previous managers but Rosler and his attention to detail, fitness and what he wants from players was fantastic. Found it interesting that he added the very opening statement about previous managers.... He was also impressed that Rosler called and text him after his injury wishing him well and checking up on him. Something I would have assumed all managers would do but obviously not.
Happy with the result today. Burnley will be amongst the top 6 at the end of the season I feel so I'm pleased with a draw and a point on the board. Surprisingly I felt Bellusci had a decent game today and we've made a great signing in Dallas! We'll do OK this season so long as we can keep hold of players like Mowatt and Byram. Must say I thought there was more than 27K in the ground today. Thought it was a bit more than that.
Evening all. An okay start, but we'll know more when a few other sides have played Burnley. Work to do clearly. But not too bad
Indeed. Burnley wiely tipped for auto's and although some work to do, we had the better of the efforts, and showed:- Passing qualities Shots on target A team working together Fitness Some individual quality
you were at home and you have to win home games if you want any chance of a playoff place. burnley will be the happiest taking a point away.......
Doncaster boss Paul Dickov orders his team to allow OPPONENTS Bury to score 95th minute leveller FORMER Scotland international Paul Dickov was the talk of football last night after ordering his side to all the opposition to SCORE. Doncaster boss Dickov ordered his side to allow Bury to walk in an equaliser in the 95th minute after his team had inadvertently scored late on when Harry Forrester was trying to return the ball to Bury following a stoppage. The match finished 1-1 and Bury boss David Flitcroft was delighted with the sportmanship shown by his fellow gaffer saying: "I've got the ultimate respect for Paul Dickov. "He tried to get the referee to award a foul throw initially but then he's allowed us to score from the restart. "Paul put football into a good place with his sportsmanship today because if you lose morality the game has no substance for me." Dickov, who was angered by the way the match officials handled the incident, said: "I didn't really think twice about allowing them to equalise. "It just wouldn't have been right for us to take three points in the circumstances. The officials have put us in an awkward situation and it could have been negated. We wanted to uphold the good name of Doncaster Rovers." Not everyone was happy with Dickov's decision as some Donny fans took to Twitter to let rip..
Absolutely right. Looked like he was desperate to get his first goal, when it comes he will get a hatful. That said, the fact that Antenucci looked so fired up.Bodes well. Did we not ask for competition for places?? Thought we played well. Bit naive for their goal. One of the two turned on the touch line should have just fouled and regroup. Thought we played bloody well in patches
