We weren't great. Nobody has said otherwise. What matters now is the result as it's easy to drop them early on. After dropping 17 in the first 10 last season, it was vital that we got the 3 points.

Against the side that finished 5th last season, it's a decent enough start.

I can see why your pleased with the 3 points. spurs should have been a more difficult fixture.

however if tommorrow the stoke game is the same as we sneak a 1 nil win coupled with a performance like that i still wouldnt be happy. all i would be thinking about is what happens in the next game our opposition can string more than 2 passes together.

Exactly. If you play badly and get the points, the appropriate response is relief, nothing more, and the concern that you really need to improve or you won't be so lucky in future.

mate i wasnt having a go. i was just explaining how id feel about the performance if it was my team.

i thought it may be possible to have a discussion about the match without meaningless point scoring and jibes at each other.
