    The draw starts with the CL at midday.

    Saints are seeded and will face one of the following in their group of teams:

    Helsinki
    Thun
    Astra
    Odd
    Gabala
    Midtjylland

    Who do we want from that then?

    Odd
    Thun
    Midtjylland
    Helsinki
    Astra
    Gabala

    Travel being a major consideration, but I just love the names Odd and Thun.

    A bit of me wants to beat the **** off Astra to show "thats how you win away in the Europa", they were a bit dirty/cheaty though.

    Please not Gabala, please.

    Yeah that could be interesting.... they were only founded 10 years ago and their ground only holds 8000

    It'd be nice to get Thun. We played them in pre-season before our L1 promotion season (and lost 4-2) and it'd mean a game in Switzerland.

    Is it right that both Spurs & LFC are already into group stage ? I thought EL was only on 5th place from EPL (Spurs) & LFC got in because of Chelsea winning LC & us Arsenal FC ? If that's the case, why aren't LFC in play-off ?

    5th and 6th both go into the UEL group stage. 7th can come in because of the FA Cup win, which is why we are here.

    It's why we were keeping an eye on making 6th during the run-in. It would've negated any 'qualifying'.

    Thanks DTLW. That's what I thought but when I asked towards end of last season one of "our mr bigs" <laugh>informed 6th wasn't. I just took as gospel!<laugh>
