does anyone know if bodde is properly fit yet,if he is does anyone think that he will be able to return to the player he was 2 years ago? i really hope he can because he could be really big for us,but sadly i just cant see it.

He's fit, knee is holding up well in training and he'll be a part of the pre-season iirc.

It'll be difficult for him to get back to the level he was at before the injuries but he'll should get a shot. I'm not expecting much from him, but hoping he'll prove me wrong.

I've heard he's looking OK so far, but I don't want to jump the gun as it could all go wrong really quickly. I hope not though, he was a great player and it would be a shame that his brilliance wasn't seen on the world stage.

Btw It's nice to see another Jack on here living in Pembs :). I don't suppose you know any people in St Davids Pembs Jack?

was a what if last season wasn't he? tbh i cant see him having 2 serious knee injuries being the player he was, i remember in my illustrious career when i popped my knee i would go in as hard for tackles for fear of doing it again, hope he proves me and all the doubters wrong but would hate to see the guy go down for a third time

He wont be the same player he was, but that doesn't mean he wont be as good. Ryan Giggs was fantastic for the past 2 years despite not having the speed or athleticism he had even 5 years ago.

The trouble with Bodde is that being as good a he was wont be good enough, Others like Sinclair, Dobbie and Allen have come in and raised the bar higher during his absence. At best I would hope that Bodde can become a reliable member of the squad but don't count on him coming in as some returning hero, he wasn't a premier league player when he first got injured and without the time on the training pitch he won't necessarily has developed at the same rate as the others have done.

I went to trainig yesterday morning and he wasn't heavily involved, staying in mote a left back spot, even tho it was only about 7-a-side...

If he can get his confidence up with a few friendlies under his belt then he'd be like a new signing...

He won't have it until he's been clattered in a full game a few times at least.

He'll play some part against Port Talbot tomorrow iirc (hehe), if that's the one at 3pm - memory like a .. pan with holes in sometimes.

It'll be interesting to see if they start him, how much time he gets, and how it all holds up. Plus the two games tomorrow give us looks at the two trialists, and the new players.

the big man is in the starting line up for one of the games, i cant wait to see the maestro in action, he has had one game already since he came back to us the end of last season where he scored his long shot goal like only he can do. he will be fine and reports are that he is as fit as ever and raring to go....i hope he can stay fit as it is a dam shame with the talent he possesses.....good luck boddie..<ok>

If he comes back as roughly the same player he was I'm liable to come in my pants.

Just a little "heads up" there, thought you could all do with knowing that.

Bodde to score against Man Utd from 50 yards. You heard it here first.

Third time un-lucky for me, all on the same knee...doctors said to stop playing unless I wanted a knee replacement at the age of 30... :( (the Gazza..ie anterior cruciate)

Tbh...the knee is the worst possible thing for footballers, and even if he's fit he'll now get other niggling injuries....hamstring, ankle, etc. Never the same after one of these, but hopefully we can squeeze a seaon out of him with some good wishes and sticky back plastic :)
