http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/qpr-crest-fans-survey-2596025.aspx A chance to have our views, (and for those who would like to ....perhaps promote Dave/Oddballs fantastic crest and marketting ideas)
Will be interesting to see where they go with this as everything should lead the club's brand ... The reason I made sure that mime is a simple shape that can be coloured to suit, If they keep it simple then the awareness will grow a lot quicker My idea was to ensure that our ID is easily understood within 5 years We own the hoops If they come up with something complex it's will become nothing IMO Very important they understand the impact of the brand in 2015 because I am not clear they do Mine is no better or worse but it does carry sustainability The club has loads of work to do on the brand IMO
Done. Encouraged them to look at DT's excellent design. This must be the look (imo) we should work around. please log in to view this image
I responded. I hope you don't mind TWGWTDT but I referenced your design in my response? (I gave your Username and mentioned the badge in question is your current Avatar pic.) I was unaware of our close link to the Coat of Arms on the Hammersmith and Fulham Boroughs. I kind of like the: "spectemur agendo", Latin - the borough officially translates it as 'let us be judged by our actions.' I would't mind something like that on the crest - Provided it isn't already used by another club
I'd like to see the look on Vincent Tan's face when Fernandes called him up and offered £13m for Caulker and Mutch incorporated somewhere into any new badge.
Done the same. Annoying survey monkey ("Allowing idiots to conduct stupid surveys since 2007' motto) didn't let me paste image of Paul's badge.
Done. Want us to keep what we have, it's fine. Pissing about with it will only confuse our image, and reduce focus on where we should be aiming, top of the PL.
The club is in a great position to get things right Any idea will always never suit everyone that's life I feel the current badge was ill conceived but that's just my opinion I would love to see them restore the old badge as its strong and instantly us My idea was to use simple timeless shapes based on building a new stadium and football club Taking stuff off the page is the hardest skill IMO anyone can build a trifle A shape going forward that neutrals know as QPR football club will help the club in a way I am not sure they understand I feel the hoops must feature If a football can be used then better still thus the backplate foundation of my quick design Our opponents Sat have a logo that never needs changing we should be aiming for the same IMO
Anything but current badge which was clearly designed by someone with pillars or lion heads outside their front door.
No problems I think however we may need to move away from being judged by our actions as its our current record that has us in a comical area High spending QPR is mentioned too many times IMO It's time to rebuild our perception We need to be know as a west London club famed for producing a good brand of football ... No logo will do that ... Said before loads of work required but I believe we belong in the top tier as a little club but with massive kudos and growth potential It can be done without doubt but this is the time for clever thinkers and the bravery to push it through
No offence to the person who designed it or those who are fans of it but this fanmade crest (which we've all seen a lot of) doesn't cut it. It's a well made effort but it will not stick out amongst other teams' crests and it also reminds me of Reading too much. I actually like our current crest a lot; it has a regality about it and definitely looks impressive amongst other crests. I'd either want to go back to our last crest or keep the current one. Preferably, I'd keep the current one. I think it's one of the few things we've gotten right in recent years, especially because it strongly references our borough. So, in summary, the current crest has a strong local reference as well as being impressive and having an air of regality. Just my opinion, though!
I think it'd be interesting to ask people who are NOT QPR supporters what they think about our current or last crest. I don't think we, as fans, always see clearly.
Me too. I added in the comment section that something needs to be done with the way its attached to the shirt because it doesn't blend at all. It looks tacky the way it is. But I do think the crest itself is the best looking one we've had (Oddball's badge is a great looking badge too)
