Probably for the best that we don't sign him based on his knee problems in the past which indicates that he may not last a season never mind a four year contract. Everton not daft, Norwich desperate, QPR run by 'Arry at the time, says it all. Maybe we have dodged a bullet.
As long as doesn't sign for anyone who can score against us in the league next season then onwards and upwards!
I'm not buying it like, he's played 60 odd club games plus internationals since his Everton medical like. He's a Dutch international to boot. I don't get it. It's like when Demba Ba failed a medical, Toon sign him, then Chelsea. Barely misses a game. Strange.
I posted this morning mate what I was told, medical was ok, and he had to go back to London to tie some stuff up with QPR. Hours later, almost a day later he's failed a medical? Na I'm not buying it. Medical results are instant more or less, we see this by people signing straight after them day after day. My hunch is that there is a known history about his knee injuries and the insurance was a worry, maybe we asked for QPR to chip in and they said no. Initially reports were he'd 'been called back by QPR'. Summat doesn't fit mate.
I coiuldnt give a ****ing moeneys s ****. I is pisst tea ****. Been to a funtral tofat. Had ower much bollocx I off tobed.
Could be right mate. Maybe Sunderland wanted something in the paperwork covering them if a known injury was to flair up whilst with us.
It isn't any long term fear mate, he has a knock that will rule him out for a few weeks and DA has said we don't wNt to wait for that. We MUST have someone else lined up if that's the case!
I would agree, seeing as there were rumours that the Fer deal had an option to make it permanent, perhaps after the medical we wanted an additional clause relating to injuries added so that we would not be in the same situation as with Alverez, where we could be liable to buy a player who would be crocked for a chunk of their contract.
Could all be a blessing. I would get Giacc in that attacking midfield role, we forget the lad is complete quality and has been unlucky with injuries. I remember when we signed him people were saying total next level signing. Well its time to get him in the side pulling the strings. Missing out on Fer might give Giacc a few games and that might be all he needs.

Sunderland will be without Jordi Gomez and Yann M'Vila when they travel to Leicester City on Saturday. Spaniard Gomez is continuing his rehabilitation from a knee injury which ruled him out of the end of last season, with M'Vila likely to build on his fitness when the club's U21s take on Norwich City on Sunday (KO 2pm @ Eppleton CW). Speaking to safc.com Dick Advocaat confirmed the absentees, whilst also explaining what the French international will bring to the club. “Yann is a player who has been involved in French football and he is very talented. “He is just 25 and did not do too much in the last two years in Russia after moving for a lot of money, but he has 22 caps for the national team and he knows Sunderland will give him a chance to do well." He added: “He’s a quick-thinker on the pitch and a quick passer which is what we need, but he isn’t fit for tomorrow and will maybe start for the U21s on Sunday. “Jordi has also been out for a long time but everybody else it fit.” If we are prepared to wait for this mans fitness then FER must of been realy not ready ???????
