Im paying £39 for all of the above, but sky doesn't know I get all of the above lol

Sky go pissed me off, only works on devices they want it to work on, no kindle or my phone even though they are android. Virgin broadband is a lot better as well, but cant get it at all in Blyth, so im stuck with sky, but at least its unlimited.

I cancelled my sky sports and movies so they offered me the sports for about £1.50 a month for twelve months. So I took it.

Would cancel it all if it wasn't for the sports.

You're welcome mate, glad I could help.

They'll do it every year as well mate, as a gesture in exchange for your signature on a contract.

I am on the same Vince I was already paying for talktalk and got the fibre in which came with the tv box and you can add things like sky sports for 30quid a month but there was a special offer on (6 quid a month for 6 months) but the beauty is you can stop/start on a monthly basis so you are not in long contracts etc - plus you do not have to pay for all the other s**te channels that you never watch.

When I was leaving sky they kept contacting me with offers and the latest (left them in april) is if I come back they will give me a new telly or half price for a year - f**k Murdoch

Not sure how far it extends but I subscribe to Premier League Pass for about 8quid a month as Aussie Sky have dropped EPL, but get all games and can access for a week after the fixtures. Saves me getting up at daft-o-clock to watch it live.

When we quit sky, I made sure I had my android box set up and it worked first, with all sky channels and an epg, my wife rang them, cancelled and they didn't offer us **** all, mind you I told my wife to just cancel, not to fall for any of their crap, but we still didnt get offered anything.

Android box is the best thing I have done since the Dbox on virgin years ago.

I get all sky channels, all USA channels, BT Sport etc etc etc for 0 per month, all I pay for is the net and phone.

If you get a 20gig limit on your net you might struggle, but going for one of those deals is bloody stupid anyway, I must stream/download 1tb per month minimum.

Depends what speed you get, 120 meg compared to 20 meg with sky, even if virgin limit you for 5 hours a day, you can still do a hell of a lot more with virgin in a day, than sky in 3 days.

I never had any.bother with virgin, well once I did, phoned them up, told me to download something from Usenet, seen the problem, and got a new modem the next day, sky also seems to play up at peak times, 6pm to 10pm but that may be everyone having Android boxes lol.

I might look into what you have done Steve but last time I had a similar system it had to be updated a lot and if you did not stay on top of what was going on all of a sudden you had a system that did not work and you had to bugger about sorting it out. Also the Internet connection is not very good here, were still waiting for fiber.

Steve what apps are you running? I have upgraded to 'Isengard" but Sportdevil is not working too well and I only get a few 'SKY' channels through NaviX.

Any help or advise would be appreciated mate.

    thanks

    Im running

    Kodi 16.0 "Jasper" nightly builds
    Genesis for movies/TV box sets
Ice films for backup of the above
IVUE TV Guide/IPTV stalker for live TV including sky/USA with an electronic programming guide.
Sportsdevil for streaming sport that isn't on any proper TV channels
    Soundcloud for music
Phoenix/NaviX as a total last resort, but havnt opened them for weeks.
BBC/ITV players incase my wife misses her crappy soaps.
Cartoon HD for the kids but don't think I have even opened that.

And that's all I need, got most of it from the superrepo repository.

All the apps update automatically, I do install kodi every day but it just updates it, all settings and apps never get touched, but I can factory reset and have everything installed and running in 20 minutes.
