I feel the same. I am surprised that we have not received any enquiries or offers for Enrique yet. Everyone knows that he wants to go but no-one has expressed any interest, which seems a bit strange.

Team's will be waiting to last week or two of transfer window when they know we will except less or risk losing him on a free.

I think he's been fantastic during the last two seasons for us, although trailed off towards the last quarter of the last season. Having said that, i cant help but feel like ive lost respect for the guy over this whole situation.

I'm not sure what i want though... A Modric situation where the club and fans know exactly where they stand; the player DOES NOT want to play for the club anymore and wants to join a certain other team or this Enrique situation where the club pretty much knows he doesnt want to play for them anymore, since he hasnt signed a new contract but the fans are left dangling by the slightest of possibilities that he might sign another one or stay.

Personally i dont want a player here that clearly doesnt want to be here. We seen at the end of last season when he pretty much made his mind up and had a few horrible games. He's obviously just waiting for a club to come in for him, but none have.

He's not irreplacable, so i hope the club dont wait until the last minute before looking. All the talk of Cheick M'Bengue seems to have died down. Neil Taylor (i hope) was only ever going to be cover anyway.

  4. I'd rather he stayed to play off his contract. We've spent nothing of the 35m, and it's quite obvious that Ashley is more concerned in Sports Direct.

If we sell Enrique we'll not see the cash. Ashley will pocket it.

Whats the point in selling him now for £2 million or £20 million when the money won't be used to stregnthen the team? Might as well keep him until his contract runs out, at least that way we will have a quality left back next season!

Get rid of him asap he doesnt want to be here so let him go and use the cash to buy that defender from crystal palace and put a realistic offer in for Sturridge not a derisory one.

    The solution is quite simple:

BURN HIM! BURN HIM GOOD!... erm, until he changes his mind and signs.

jose has left us in a ****e position now its common knowledge he wants to leave we either have to take a cut price deal on him now or wait and lose him for nothing, ever since jan his head got turned and he become more disintrested in games and his performance dipped.

jose enrique may have gotten a bit carried away with himself this year he used to communicate with the fans and was pretty blunt and honest, the fact no bids have come in for him reminds me of how the zog was always adamant a big club wanted him but never bid for him!

we shoiuld cash in on him now infact id rather lose him for free now than he actually play for us this year with nolan gone the last thing we need is a distructive influenece in the team and a player who clearly doesnt want to be here, no doubt he will have a poor season with that attitude and cost us points, games and stop players like ferguson from getting experience. transfer list him see who bids the most and sell him to them as quickly as poss, goodbye jose.

Do you not see whats going on here? Pardew is repeating the same thing over and over basically teasing clubs to make a bid, no doubt on Mikeys orders.

yeh ashley pockets all the cash, thats why we bid over 10m for gameiro and gervinho respectivly and bid 10m for the zog in jan and also countless other players! plus gave tiote a 6 year deal and simpson a new 5 year deal aslong as offering nolan and barton new contracts which they rejected. some people are ****ing stupid

To be fair, that's exactly what we should be doing. If he wants to leave better we sell him now than 31st August.
