Mm is that a good thing or bad thing for us? Decent player at times but we've lost 2mill & wages paid, so forget anymore signings yet.

Midfielder Fer had been widely expected to leave Rangers along with striker Charlie Austin, with even QPR boss Chris Ramsey acknowledging that "given the right offer, they will probably go".

So how do we play Fer and Chery in the same team?
I thought they were the same player

Either begs the question about the possible quality and thoroughness of our medical procedure or an excuse from either club.

Have we had a better offer or did they change their minds I wonder. Perhaps he us just not fit rather than broken!

If has fallen through will not release the needed cash and may impact on any further ins so could weaken our stance on other players values. Do hope not.

Nothing straightforward as usual and that's part of the love affair we have for the hoops. Never boring...

Fer is the second player to fail a medical at Sunderland this pre-season. Interesting. I would still expect him to go, and I can't see him playing on the weekend. But imagine if he did stay; would be class for the Championship.

Good. If he stays we should dominate the league.

We have too many midfielders as it is and would so he makes someone (like Luongo or Faurlin) surplus to requirements

I think he threw the medical and started limping. He realised what a sh*t hole Sunderland was and thought "I'm not living up here"

IF (big if) Fer does end up staying with us, for me we have the best player in the championship. Our midfield would look extremely strong

A player does not have to live in the actual city that he represents. We have cars and public transport up here now you know!
He will probably sign for West Ham within the next week or so!

Same as last year with Remy, failed a medical with Liverpool then moves to the scum. Someone has offered the club pie'n'mash for him, he will be off.

If he stays and Phillips doesn't go then we will surely have the strongest Championship midfield and even with depth on the bench, we will surely end up playing one up front most of the season if that's the case.

Abundance of riches in midfield. Lacking balance at the moment though. Light at the back and proven goalscorer needed (on the basis that Charlie will be leaving).
