    Been very busy and last season there wasn't much to discuss. I was so fed up with Rodgers tactics and team selection that I really couldn't be bothered to put in the effort to criticize him.

    Been pleasantly surprised with our signings this season, our pre season as well - though I think Australia and Malaysia are awful preparation compared to our rivals who face strong squads.

    Anyways I'm back now. What have I missed ? Signed up for all the fantasy leagues as well.

    said id about our tour on diff thread as well that it's all well and good doing that stuff from commercial side but we've not played anyone that really tested our defence which could be a bit of a worry

    Agreed. And Markovic has looked great in pre-season, bulked up and is actually trying to attack. Not his fault he's not a wing-back. Played winger at Partizan in his first season, striker under Avram Grant in his second, winger/10 at Benfica. Never had defensive duties before.

    Even last season I felt that he wasn't actually half bad at tackling/retrieving the ball/stopping his man. It was once he got the ball that he had to run to the halfway line and couldn't go alone, leading him to play a safe pass sideways. That plus the odd formation + tendency to only play one half stopped him from building on from his form in... December? The match where he played 15 minutes, got sent off, and was still the best Liverpool player of the match :p
