Well, considering the majority of your argument has consisted of him not scoring much (despite the fact he's not a striker, something that seemingly needs to be repeated), his assists and his age, it pretty much looks like you're focusing on stats. You also really seem to be underrating the MLS. If you actually watched it, you'd realise it's a good league. Not amazing, but it isn't dog **** like the A-League.
Which is exactly why I'm using that as evidence for why we and other clubs shouldn't do it in future.. you learn from history's mistakes or you're doomed to repeat them.
You're seemingly the one obsessed with goals, I haven't mentioned anything about his strike rate since yesterday because everyone got so sensitive about it and probably insulted me worst of all by comparing me to Roo. I've watched a bit of it. Would you say it's as good as the Championship? Chicago fans think Maloney has been quite poor for them. Would you say that performing poorly in a side playing in a worse league than the one we're entering is likely to do well in said league?
I think thats the first time you've written a sentence that didn't look like you'd shat out some alphabetti spaghetti into a blender.
But in football we know that's not true, if we were offered the chance to sign somebody like Stewart Downing (even though I've never rated him, I know he's good he just pisses me off) you'd snap their hand off (like Boro did). We signed the comparitvely younger Gaston Ramirez and Hatem Ben Arfa and look how that turned out for us.
**** it was a paper bag last week or were you only as strong as a paper bag and now your all plastic blender this week.
I aren't using number of goals as a criticism, which you did, despite the fact he isn't a striker. No it isn't as good as the Championship. But you talking about it as if it is Conference standard, which it isn't. It's probably League One standard. Players are more suited to certain leagues. The Championship is of a different style to the MLS. When he played in the Championship, he was one of Wigan's best players, pure and simple.
So would you want to sign a League One midfielder who was struggling in a side towards the bottom of the division, wasn't rated very highly by the supporters, was 32, so isn't exactly going to improve over the season or the next few seasons, and didn't seem to be contributing much offensively? Can you at least understand why I have the opinion I do? I don't care if you don't agree with it. I can understand why you have your opinion, can you understand why I have mine?
That's another thing, why can't a 32 year old improve or learn new skills? Do they stop learning at 30?
If your talking 32 is to old just a few names for you...... Giggs Pirlo Sheringham Sometimes you need an older head........
I understand your opinion, even though it has points that are pretty ignorant and ill-informed, which is why (big surprise) I'm arguing against it. Particularly in regards to age. As I said, look at performance over stats.
Almost 33? He's not 33 until next year, I wouldn't start baking his cake quite yet. And stop been ****.
Haven't read all this but if he's talking about Maloney, he's right I dont think we need him with what we've already got waste of money but I'm happy to eat my words.
