Middlesbrough are lining up an improved £14m bid for Blackburn's 25-year-old striker Jordan Rhodes, having already had a £12m offer rejected If he's worth 14m....... then Charlie is worth at least 25m. At least Charlie has shown he can score in the prem. Rhodes has never done a thing in the prem that I can remember. Personally I think Middlesbrough are total mugs if they pay that for him. What a joke!
Austin is in the last year of his contract, otherwise he would be worth nearer the price you quoted. Can't really compare to Rhodes but I agree, that price is silly money.
I didn't realise 'boro had so much cash. With Downing and Rhodes, they must be favourites for the top spot. Downing was great last year in the prem! Does make you wonder how much Charlie would be worth if he had three years left on his contract.
Dunno about Rhodes Has he got a bum knee and shoulder? Those plus the one year on contract have an impact on Austin's value.
No he's not worth 14m but his goals will pretty much guarantee a team like Brough promotion. With the new tv deal coming next season they may well think its money well spent
He's scored 20+ goals in the last 6 seasons. Gestede has been at Blackburn for the last 2 seasons. He'll manage without Gestede.
And not a word in the press as to how much cash Boro and Derby are spending....oh no lets just gloss over that and concentrate on how much QPR spend...... Cynical moi?
