    leave them stuck as far as Im concerned TSS, if you want to be in the English league system, own an English club. Swansea and Cardiff are different because the welsh league didn't exist when they joined the English league, so they are in by right, but we don't need any more foreign clubs joining who already have an option.

    Yes, I'm not talking about my preference. I'm talking about it from the perspective of the clubs involved.
    I do feel kind of sorry for them though.

    Sorry TSS, I thought you were suggesting they should be allowed in. From their point of view, it does limit Scottish clubs being stuck in Scotland, but hey, that's life....and geography

    The Premier League was built out of the timing of satellite TV coming to the fore and excellent marketing. At the time it probably wasn't that far ahead of the Scottish leagues in terms of earning power (think Celtic and Rangers in the early/mid 90s).

    Since then they couldn't have diverged any further really. The Premier League has gone from strength to strength while the Scottish Premier has suffered from one calamity after another. I recall recently Barry Hearn totally ripped them apart and argued they had no excuses for their mismanagement. He used his resurrections of Snooker and Darts as examples that things can still be turned around.

    I don't think they can ever catch up with the big leagues of Europe but they could certainly improve up towards the Dutch/Portuguese level.

    koeman at the airport is no suprise. Im a frequent flyer and seen him and erwin there on a few occasions.

    as for a flight landing from glasgow thats a daily occurence

    Yep, just keeping in touch with the little people. On a serious note, I think I'm pretty justified in thinking about the Scots as foreign seeing as their main political party was trying to achieve separation from the union.

    Wow, that's nothing. Some of these rumours around Ronaldo to Man U, Benzema to Arsenal etc. have been running in every transfer window and the time in-between for the last two years! Do you remember the Draxler to Arsenal ones? I almost had to stop going online...
