    Dear All - sorry for the disturbance on your site but... a mate of mine is having his stag weekend in Newcastle this weekend - those orgainising are weak willed and generally a bit **** (both Gooners). If we were looking for an "INDIE" type club - somewhere near to a titty bar (obviously for laters!)- any ideas?

    Going to be heaving wherever you go. You're bound to enjoy it no matter what though.

    If you can get into Sam Jacks, there's plenty of entertainment.

    Cheers All - will tinterweb the various suggestions and go from there..... when I was soap dodging (1989-92) there was a club "ROCKSHOTS" . Gay club if I recall but with "straight" nights on a Tues/Thurs Indie/Dance respectively - turned up on Tuesday too early and pictures of bare chested Magnum PI types all over the shop - disturbing for one so young!!!

    Stay away from big market.. I'm not being funny but they don't take kindly to different accents in there.

    Gate's awful (geordie shore), so's the bigg market (charvs). The classier bars are round Central/down the Quayside. More expensive though (dont suppose that'll be a problem on a stag do though). Don't go the wrong way from central though or you'll end up in the 'gay triangle'. there's a strip club near central, don't know where abouts though.

    right next to central too <ok>
    not a club though.

    your best bet for an indie club is 02 academy, or Legends (although i dont know whether they play indie stuff on a weekend.

    If you're looking for drunken entertainment, get pished and then see who can climb the highest up the Angel of the North (I saw some guys trying it once, so funny...)

    The strip club(s) are near Liquid/Venue and the Police station etc. When you go left before the roundabout on pilgrim street. Not that I ever been inside, got lost once when I was pissed and hopped over a wall and ended up at the back of it where all the strippers entered, didn't end well for me, it's called For your eyes only if you want to google it.

    I recommend Bulletproof like others have said for that indie-esque night. Would be bout 15-20 mins walk to strip club, but tbh you could always just ask a taxi driver to take you there would cost like £7-10.

    Bulletproof isn't on anymore. Digital is ****e and expensive at weekends. Bambu is full or nutters. I would recomment Liquid Envy as they have 60p drink offers on. Its a two minute walk from For Your Eyes Only as well.
