Sources close to both clubs are indicating that Leeds United and Sunderland have agreed a deal for the transfer of former Brighton winger Will Buckley to Elland Road. If true, the signing would represent success for United Head Coach Uwe Rosler, who has made no secret of the fact that he has considered his squad short of vital width. The talk is that this transfer is at an advanced stage, with the deal being agreed between the clubs, leaving it down to United to sort out personal terms with Buckley. There may well be an update on this story in the next couple of days and possibly as early as tomorrow.

Hope so, Chris Young's understanding is the problem is Leeds want a loan and we want a sale, they can't stump up the full fee, same thing which has been a problem with moving Bridcutt and Mavrias. Mavrias transfer has been put on hold because of it. If negotiations are advanced their must be some kind of installment arrangement in discussion. But the squad place free to be filled with quality can only be a good thing.
Will Buckley is a wanted man in the Championship, with FIVE clubs making enquiries for the Sunderland winger. But Sunderland’s headache is that those sides are predominantly looking to sign Buckley on loan, while the Black Cats are looking to offload the 25-year-old on a permanent basis.
