He was a CB with the youth team though he's also versatile enough to play DM. Before news spread that Flamini decided to stay there was talk of him being backup DM to Coquelin.
Interesting comments in that site. Says he is very similar to welbeck. Him and gray upfront will be a terrifying prospect.
This is now turning into a decent transfer window. Other then Rosie, all those who have gone were predictable and obvious. We have got fair prices for the sales and if henandez goes for anywhere near €10m been touted then its a bonus! If these signings come off we have two good keepers, two good right backs (taylor and the land from brentford), two right wingers in elmo and aluko. Four decent midfielders (if wpalacios gets fit) plus mo. We have two decent left wingers for the divison in culcus and snodders, plus two exciting forwards. I would like another young left full back, another Cm (forget palaios), and a couple more strikers (if our three go) or at least one powerful striker. Seem to be shaping nicely
Who's the creative midfielder? Of course hope will make people expect the best, all yet to be seen though.
That's a good point, there is a precedent for doing that sort of thing. I think Liverpool overpaid on Lambert so that Bournemouth didn't get as much of a sell-on for Lallana.
There is nothing to stop them from selling him for less than the release clause though. A release clause means they don't have a choice if a club bids that amount but i don't see what stops the from selling him for less than the release clause and another player for an inflated amount. They will never admit that's why they did it so there is nothing that wouldn't hold up.
Bang on, they have to accept it if it's the release clause, but if they needed the money they could sell for less.
Yea my statement was correct just not to this situation as the player with the release clause is the one we are paying more for to lower the other players price in order to decrease the compensation to Luton. I still don't know if they could challenge that but I got confused.
Strange example. I thought you'd pick Turner and Mcshane (where we screwed Brentford out of their sell-on money).
That was a bit different though? We got McShane to dampen the fee we received for Turner. This is buying two players from the same club in order to dampen the sell-on.
http://gianlucadimarzio.com/calciom...a-la-trattativa-per-abel-hernandez-le-ultime/ Something like Torino met with Hernandez representatives today, they will now fly to England to try and agree a deal with us. They prefer a loan with an obligation to buy next year
Hard to believe since we've been firm on wanting a purchase now and they were willing to stump up 8m now. Surely if anything we just ask for a big loan fee with a small purchase fee in a year.
