Don't I just know it. Got fleeced in France by a private dentist who quoted me (verbally - I know, I should have known better, but I was just glad to find a dentist who spoke English) and then charged me an absolute arm and a leg (and a mouthful of teeth) because he got his "mate" in to do the surgical work, so I ended up paying for him, the nurses and all the trimmings. Never again ............

That's appalling, but we will kowtow as long as they have oil that the West needs. That's as good a reason as any for finding alternative energy sources in my view.
