We're top of the Facebook 'likes' league of Championship clubs. We're 29th in the list of sport clubs in the UK. Quite impressive, until you see that nearly half of them (43.8%) are Egyptians who started following us when we signed Elmo, Gedo and Fathi. Only 5.9% of our likes come from people who are are based in the UK, possibly because a lot of City fans refuse to like a page titled Hull Tigers. A great many of our followers are in Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia etc, places where you can buy likes, though I'm sure that's just a coincidence and we've actually got tens of thousands of fans in these places.
Currently in Florida and seen/chatted to numerous people with City shirts. A guy in his 20s working on one of the theme park rides (Jungle Cruise) asked if ours were Hull City shirts and if we were from the great city of Hull !
I've got a good idea. Seen as we have such a big following in these Asian countries we should take advantage of the fact that they are very keen on animals such as tigers. Now this idea may be seen as revolutionary so just go with me. But why don't we change the name of the club to Hull Tigers to make some money of them all. Failing that we could even go with Humberside Wildcats.
Stopped following the Facebook page due to the amount of cretins which reside on their during the matches and afterwards. There was meltdown if we ever conceded a goal. Imagine the match threads on here, but worse! Then there was the change to Hull Tigers...
