So look, I readily accept that many Heinekens had been consumed. I also accept that West Ham were playing tonight but Karen Brady stepped into a Range Rover outside Central Station in Glasgow right in front of me tonight. Hopefully she's here to stock up on haggis rather than hijack a VVD deal.

The alternative (and I eagerly await the picture from Twitter showing her in her seat at whatever the hell they're calling Upton Park tonight to prove me wrong) is that the Heineken was strong and I was simply fixing a Brady face on an otherwise equally unremarkable female.

 

Hardly call her unremarkable...not easy to forge a career in such a man's world.

 

I would call her a annoying up herself bitch.

 

I've met Karen Brady and her husband (a former 'baller whose surname is too complicated for me- Paul something or other). Both alright actually, she's a tad up herself (undertstandably perhaps) but I would'nt call her a beeatch, and hubby is a regular sort of cove. Doubt if many of you will be surprised when I report that it was my firm impression that KB wears the troons though!

Indeed. Remove her footballing loyalties and I think she's a great role model for all aspirational ladies. Nonetheless, I doubt she's cricked many necks walking down the High Street.

I don't think that any of this statement makes me a dinosaur but I'll attach a pre-emptive apology anyway.

 

I know what Bovril meant, but he didn't say it. I was pointing out that you can be remarkable for more than looks. She was good looking when young....as many of you may have been once! Looks help to get you started (though may also be a handicap), but in the end it comes down to ability.

I have a romantic streak (well hidden )...I rather like the story of a Chairman having an affair with and marrying a striker in her team. Like something from a soap opera (in fact I believe it was a storyline in Dream Team). Loved Dream Team #sigh.

Linda Block The whole cast is scattered around soap land or hollywood now apart from the main bloke, Karl Fletcher I believe his name was.

 

Was devastated when he died...last seen wrapped in plastic in the boot of a car. Do you remember the nutcase goalkeeper who held the team hostage at gunpoint Boruc would have been perfect for that role.
