Was class at Everton like, if we can get half that player back i would be owa the moon.
Think i remember someone saying he has played as a cb, maybe worth a shot ?

He genuinely was quality at Everton, I just wonder if it's something in his mentality and if this is something clubs look into. The lad had injuries and made a shocking career move to City, doesn't mean the ability is gone.

If we could have him at his Everton level or close he'd be a fantastic player for the club, and he is still young enough to get another crack at a CL club.

If I had £10m in the back I wouldn't last 10 years. I'd run out of life before I ran out of money. <laugh>

2nd goal was also Coates poor decision to try a hooked overhead clearance instead of defending properly. 1st goal was initiated by attempting to play out from the back under pressure. Pants and JOS at fault. Sometimes you can just clear it!

Have you seen it from the angle from the highlights, don't think he was trying an overhead clearance, he was full stretch trying to get anything on it, it was beyond his reach anyway. I Think the credit belongs with the perfectly weighted pass imo.

No mate, it's only what I thought from last night but sure you're right from TV. Rodwell tracked really well but then seemed to go the wrong way with the ball. Poor from him.

Can't make my mind up about Coates in general. Certain that Kaboul is the main man now though.

Don't get me wrong, he was flat footed and done on pace but the ball was a beaut.

I'm intreagued to see more of the Kaboul/Beadling combo. We could really press high up the pitch a defence that quick. It would unlock new realms. Hope Beadling comes on quickly

We were really good at times in the second half IMO, played it in their half and didn't give them any time on the ball. Larsson is great at that but why Rods/Catts didn't bother is a mystery. Yeah the ability to play a higher line is desperately needed. Is Beadling quick? Didn't really notice and haven't seen him til last night.

I think we will be phasing OShea out as time goes by this season, Coates mainly but perhaps some time for the young lad. Problem is it all depends on our league position, allowing the freedom to blood young players. I'd kill for a flying start.

Beadling looked very quick against Toronto, very composed on the ball too. Very impressed with him, he could actually break into the team before Watmore.

Well I hope so, it would be a real bonus. Let's face it our academy has only produced two players of note so far.
Was my first ever sighting of Watmore and although he's very quick, his touch just doesn't appear good enough. Unless he was just a bit nervous or over excited after waiting for so long. He only had 11 minutes too so was in a rush to impress

I think he may have suffered by not being given a few minutes on the pitch by now, the Chelsea game looked a perfect opportunity for him and if he had had say 20 minutes at the end of that game with nothing to lose we may just have given him the confidence to kick on. Keeping our kids out of the picture will not give them the self esteem needed at this level, something is lacking in our approach to youth development, the stats tell you that.

Duncan's touch is usually better mate, it's much better than Connor's put it that way. Most of his runs are generated by his first touch
