Chris Ramsey has admitted that injuries to left-backs Yun Suk-Young and Armand Traore are a concern for QPR ahead of the new season.
Neither player has featured during pre-season, leaving head coach Ramsey with a potential problem as the Championship campaign approaches.
Traore’s fitness woes continue, while South Korea international Yun has been nursing a knee problem.

“When you’re injured in pre-season you’re going to miss out in terms of physical preparation for the new season.”
    Chris Ramsey
Ramsey is also unable to call upon left-back Jack Robinson, who was signed from Liverpool last summer and is recovering from a long-term knee injury suffered while on loan at Huddersfield.
“I do think there’s a concern. Yun’s got an injury we didn’t expect and Armand’s got an injury that has been ongoing,” Ramsey told West London Sport.
“It’s a concern because when you’re injured in pre-season you’re going to miss out in terms of physical preparation for the new season.”
Traore has been out of favour for much of his four years at QPR but has another 12 months remaining on his contract, having been given a two-year deal following a decent run of form prior to the club’s promotion in 2014.
There have been reports linking the 25-year-old with a move, but Ramsey said: “We haven’t had any enquiries about him.
“He’s an experienced player we’d probably be looking to use if he’s fit and available to play.”

The simple solution is buy one!I don't want to see Clint playing there again,i'm afraid in that position he's a liability!

Agree with that, and as it is now surely he'll be playing CB with Ned, with Perch at RB if he signs.

I expect us to loan a LB if we continue to have 3 other experienced LB's on the books all injured.

Taiwo going on a free transfer according to the Beeb. I know he split opinion when with us last, but I loved him! Could offer him a short-term deal for six months?

I don't think we have enough defenders to play more than 3 at the back anyway. Or Clint could use his pace and play both CB and LB at the same time, no worries, unless he's loaned out in order to reduce the wage bill. :emoticon-0142-happy

Every real QPR fan should love Clinton Hill. But he is not the man for LB. He should not be slagged off, though. He gives 100% in whatever position he's asked to play in by the manager. It's down to the mangers choices.

But on top of that, I believe that if all of his appearances for us had been in CB, he'd be a bit of a legend. I honestly think he's great in that position, is a leader and puts his body on the line. He's another one of those cursed players who has to cover another position for much of their career.

Play Cole Kwapeka there until one of them is fit to return.

Might as well see if he's actually good enough.

But Clint is a legend he will probably play another 40 odd games this season end up player of the season as he has done before and there will still be people unhappy about him. By the way I would play him ahead of Traore all day long, he is supposed to be a left back!

We have a lot of untapped youngsters that will come good this season IMO.

Exactly what I was going to write, although, I think (from what I've seen) that he is good enough. (Kpekawa!)

Yes, he's been great for us but, like you, I've always preferred him as a CB, especially as he's got older. I'd never slag him off and would take issue with anyone that did.

He's also not the man for CB IMO. I don't think he thought he'd actually play. My opinion of him as a CB went downhill when we played Leicester at LR and lost 1-0. Clint Hill got beaten in the air by David Nugent, shouldn't be happening. Granted, he loves the club and will give his all for a few games when we need him to, like now.

Can you name one CB in the history of football that has never been beaten in the air by a shorter player?

Wow. Now that's fickle. All of his great service and then one mistake and you can sling your hook.

Kpekawa is the youth player I'm most excited about.

Clint may have to cover GK as well with the way things are going.
