    don't think anyone did if they were honest, apparently cook said he would have batted first had he won the toss.

    Just as well we lost the toss, lets hope we can capitalise on a poor batting performance by the aussies and a top bit of bowling by England.

    I had a feeling they'd struggle against the ball on that pitch. Bit. Disappointed to see Wood dropped mind. Considering he's out bowled broad and Anderson for 3 innings!

    All set up for a cracking day tomorrow with sun forecast... Bat all day and declare early Thursday with a lead of around 400. Put the pressure on them

    For ****s Sake Bell. Stupid way to get out just before the close, put a bit of a downer on an otherwise very good day.

    That said unless Lyth scores big in the second innings I think we will be looking for a new opener for the fourth test. May as well give Hales a go, he might not hang around but at least he won't die wondering and if he gets his eye in it could be carnage...
