Never understood his arselicking of George W let alone his riding shotgun into Iraq with him on the basis of a sexed up report of WMD...

We should ask Dr David Kelly.
    Oh no, wait, we can't.
    He was done away with.
Shushed up by the Bliar government.

Don't spoil the Blair bashing thread Diddles!

I think the aftermath has turned out into a much greater evil where Iraq is concerned. He may have been a nasty bastard but he had some sort of order in that country.

    Anyway...

Just imagine if Blair & Bush had been around in 1930's and they acted against Hitler like they did against Saddam.

Saddam was a murderer and the world should have been a better place without him, unfortunately Cameron & Obama have taken their eye off the ball and we now have the Daish filling the vacuum left by Saddam & Gadhaffi's demise.

Their is an agenda aganst Blair, he made a lot of enemies in high places and these enemies are being aided by the media for a witchhunt.

Is G W Bush going to be investigated also?

Your a bit naive if you ever expect Blair to be persecuted....

Tony Blair took us to war. I do believe however that regardless of who was in charge we would have entered Iraq with the yanks anyway.

Spot on. I worked for the mod for 4 years and had access to a lot of info and, regardless of who was in charge, we'd have been at war with the yanks. Based solely on the Intel we had. Had he not gone to war he'd have been pilloried at the time, because he went to war he gets pilloried afterwards! Lose lose for him but he did what any PM would have. He was certainly good for those of us who were worse off.

Everyone blames thatcher for the coal mines - any government would've had to close them. She was a bitch with it to the working class but it would've happened, much like the Iraq war would've happened regardless of who was running this country
