If we don't sign anymore players between now and the window closing... How will we fare?

What do people think we're currently lacking?

Is it just me or has it all gone a little bit quiet with regards to players being linked to us?

If we don;t sign anyone else I'd be very worried about relegation tbh... Long time left yet though!

Main priority has to be a creative CM for me.

CM and FWD needed or we're still in trouble. Solid work so far. Over a month to land two who are a stark improvement from what we have.

Yes it has but lets be fair, Matthews was neve rlinked to us until the day he signed! The press know **** all about our dealings and that's why it's all quiet - there are the odd whisper but nothing from the club so not worried.

I will be worried if we don;t sign at least one more though. We're too light up front (could do with another attack minded MF though but I'm relying on Giaccherini coming good this season!)

Still plenty of time to go. Also think we might be focusing on trying to move a few players on in order to free up space, not least on the wage bill.

Reckon we will see at least three more through the door before the window shuts: one domestic loan, one European loan and (fingers crossed) a surprise rabbit out of Congerton's hat that no-one expected

Players from bigger sides will be released when they have replacements through the door, it's a knock on effect as well, so your fringe players will leave when you sign their replacements and so on.

Chelsea have sent about 30 out on loan so far, so they still have another 90 to send out on loan. We will send a few out, City are selling, Liverpool will be trying to release a few faces no doubt too.

Waiting game innit, watch them all tumble when Pogba moves club. Di Maria as well maybe, that should knock a few down.

I'm sure Conger said it would likely be a quiet couple of weeks after Lens and Kaboul had signed. just gotta try and be patient and have faith they bring in what we need.

as per Terry, we're waiting for kerplunk via the big clubs.... and probably shaving the wage bill by getting shot of the deadwood/uninterested.

blindingly obvious we need higher quality midfield creativity and striking options.

If the transfer window closed tomorrow then we will definitely struggle. It would yet again depend on how badly others struggle around us on whether we would go down. Even just an exciting forward/goal scorer would change my mind though.

We will almost certainly sign a CM and probably a striker (perhaps one of them only on loan though).

For me, I'm still worried about CB - 3 crocks and a Coates is a bit shaky. I really hope Kaboul is fighting fit for this season.

Sorry - to answer the OP, if we didn't make another signing, then we're 13-14th at best, relegation at worst and would likely fare about 5% better than last season.

The presingk the Danish sports director of PAOK in the 29 year old Swede aggressive Rennes.

Frank Arnesen has put the bar on the transfer list. So "why the Danish sports director pushing the 29 year old Swedish international striker, All Toivonen. The Arnesen tries to convince Toivonen positively viewed the prospect of PAOK, he has understood that the player is a little negative to come to our country mainly because it is aware of the interest of Trabzonspor and Sunderland for him. Indeed, in Sunderland is coach Advocaat, with whom he had worked in Eindhoven.

The Swedish ace has notified the Ren that is not calculated and Arnesen, who considers him an exceptional case, efforts to bring him to Touba in the form of loans. He considers that it will give the Tudor important solutions because they can play behind the strikers.

"Ally" of the sports director of PAOK is Rennes, which wants to get rid of the "heavy" contract. The Arnesen Finally, it should be noted that the case Toivonen had never abandoned unlike that of Finsmpogkason made contact with the president of Sociedad and soon realized the huge economic data left her without a second thought aside.

Swansea sniffing around Fletch as of this morning's Metro. I still rate him, but he can't seem to find the back of the net these days. If he goes another forward would become a priority, but I remain of the view that it's attacking MFs we need.

    No, not attacking MILFs, Billy...

A CM a forward (I would not use the word striker, it will be to play in the wide position). and a Centre Back. I think we will sign all 3 before the end of the window. 2 x loans and permanent signing.

Options up top in the centre position will be Defoe or Wickham. Graham will be a 3rd option if we don't/can't offload him. Lens on one side and then a new signing on the other. Their back up will be AJ (if he is not in prison) Giacc and then the likes of Watmore and Madron who must be getting close to the first team.

In CM we will play with 3. I think Giacc will play as an attacking CM when its the right games for him to play there, (AJ can also play this position) but when we're playing the likes of Chelsea away we will play a more solid 3. Catts and Rodwell will be our holding options while a new signing and Gomez will be the creative options. Larsson can play either role so will probably get lots of game time when we have injuries or when we need to play 3 solid options.

Its at the back where I am worries. RB is not an issue anymore as Mathews and Jones will fight out that position. My worries are at CB and LB.

At LB we only have 1 option which is PVA, thats great until he gets injured. We don't want a right footer playing at LB it will ruin our formation and flow of our attacks. We must sign a LB for back up even if it's an older experienced player or a young up and coming kid.

CB: Brown will be lucky to stay fit and I only see him having a bit part. That leave us with 3 centre backs, If we get a serious injury to one of those players were going to be desperately short at the back. IMO we must sign another quality centre half.

The amount of times PVA is caught out of position is frightening. He's very food at going forward but puts the ****s up me every game. I'd love us to sign Alonso and push PVA further up the pitch

id like to see Danny Welbeck back myself, had a good start last year for the gooners then somewhat dropped off.
Think with the players they have he might be a sneaky option, be good up front on the left.

Would be a great signing but I feel his ego is far too big now and he would never come back here. If he did he would want to play down the middle and his best position would be on the left or right.

yes, in reality I cant see him coming back to us, but with Theo signing a new deal it just maybe limits opportunities for him, if he were to go there are defo bigger fish than us would like to have him.

If we don't sign anymore i think we will struggle and will be in relegation battle.

IMO we definitely need 2 more a creative midfielder & a forward. Dembele & Sow for me.

Also if Alonso is available for 2m i would be devastated if we didn't try to get him.
