The commentator is absolutely awful. He hasn't got a clue which player is which and has to wait for replays to decide who took a shot, etc.

Would have liked to see Ryan Taylor, but thought Matty Dixon looked good when he came on, and CJM along with Aluko impressed for me.

As Chazz said, good work out!

How is he supposed to know? The team sheet he was handed was wrong and there weren't names on shirts, plus it's only a pre season friendly FFS.

I liked him for the fact that every time he referred to us as Hull City AFC.

    Further to that..

"And he's talking to one of the Hull City training staff.."

He was talking to James Chester :O

Excellent game that. A true thriller of a match, probably the best 0-0 you'll ever see. I'm happy with that.

Aluko wide right is the way to go.
Glad to see Curtis Davies look something like again.
    Palacios did ok.
    Dawson good.
Nobody is going to knock big Harry off the ball this season.
Hudd was good. CJM showed a lot of promise.
Thought they all did ok really.

His playing days may be over but he has a future in his new role as part of the coaching team, apparently.

CJM - Looked better in a 442, as did most of them, looked a little lost in the second half
NDoye - Gone, he didn't care today
Aluko - Couple of decent shots
Hudds - Looked better, seemed to play higher up the pitch than usual
Robertson - Not quite in it today, needs to watch that Firery Scots temper
McGregor - Some nice saves, still going to be our number 1 for me, even if the Southend lad comes in
Dixon - for the little time he was on looked pretty good
Brian Taylor :1980_boogie_down: looked more than comfortable
Palacios - Made one mistake with a header, but this guy with an arm around him and a spirited dressing room should get his mojo back
Hernandez - Putted a bit of effort in, I'm guessing he wants to try and impress some team, but looked out of it

    Why no Jelly?
Andre Gray would have out paced the H96 team
I'm guessing we looked a little more out of shapes in the second half due to too many changes every 5 minutes
Liked the shout of 'No to Hull Tigers' lol

Not much in the way of attacking play, we seem comfortable passing it around at the back, but the gap between midfield and defence is pretty big and we didn't get much of a sniff in front of goal.

Thought Palacios looked decent and CJM looks lively but lacks a bit of end product. Agree about Aluko, best played out on the right. The Maltese guy was alright if not spectacular, can't see him winning a contract on that display but given the opposition were a lot better than Championship standard, I don't think Bruce will base anything on that game.

Once again, the old story, a familiar shortage of threat going forward. Will the answer be found, I am sure we all live in hope.

Have to sat seems we have the same problem we`ve had for a couple of years now, lack of creativity, set pieces seem to be our best chance of scoring. N`Doye and Hernandez need to be moved on, was hoping to see Jelly but alas he obviously got comfy on that bench. Again for me Aluko comes across far too lightweight and spends most of his time on his arse ! decent work out all in all though, Dawson and Davies looked a bit more comfortable together then previously, and tbh Palacios didn`t look that bad when he came on second half.
