See my team, Gazza got the nod for the bench over Beardsley. Biggest crime in football is we didn't get enough Gazza in the premiership.

Just said to Somb there, biggest crime in football is not having gazza in his prime playing in the premier league. But dates matching prime and what not. It's all fantasy init. Seaman was good keeper man. Worthy of the bench.

Makelele is a deadly shout, great player, he'd make my bench.

    Bench;

Van Der Sar, Irwin, Pires, Giggs, Makelele, Drogba, Solskjaer (guaranteed late goals when needed).

No point having Bergkamp on my bench cos Cantona would never get subbed.

Frankly, I wouldn't even have Ronaldo on the bench. He was a good GD player - when Manchester United were on top, he'd go show-boating and turn 1-0 into 4-0, sure. But just wait till Manchester United went behind. He'd stand on the touchline, argue with the ref, the linesman, and put his hands on his hips and shake his head at his team-mates as though the whole world was out of step with him. At times like that, you needed Tevez, the fighter, the leader from the front, the one who would dig Manchester United out.

If I was to pick a PL team, Tevez would be one of the first on the sheet. Ronaldo wouldn't even be considered. He was far too disruptive, a spoilt little brat when he couldn't get all his own way.

Fair do's it's all opinions. Tevez a fighter though? Haha how much fighting did he do for City when he ****ed off awol for a year?

We cleaned up with Ronnie though, he scored big goals, CL final vs Chelsea for example. Absolutely battered everything in sight that season.

The only thing I'd consider Tevez for is my list of 11 players I would most like to drown in their own piss.

Talk about contrasting players, Ronaldo is a winner, Tevez a spoilt **** who went on strike, I know who I'd have in my side 100 times out of 100.

I think maybe our opinions are due to our respective clubs. At Man. United, where you were used to going 1-0 up much more often than 1-0 down, Ronaldo was an excellent player, and I can understand where you're coming from. But put the same player at, say, Sunderland, where we're much more used to going 1-0 down than 1-0 up, and he'd be entirely the wrong player. Ronaldo would shake his head at anyone but himself and drag morale further down than it already was. He is essentially a successful club's player. At Man. U. then or Chelsea now or maybe Real Madrid or Barcalona, he's a very good player to have, no doubt about it. Here, on the other hand, Tevez would up his work-rate, get everyone's tail back up by example, and drag us out. He'd be my choice.

As I say, I think we're looking at the same thing from different perspectives. :emoticon-0148-yes:

    ------------Schmeichel
    Neville - Terry - Adams - Cole
    ----------------Keane
    ----------Scholes - Gerrard
    Ronaldo -------------------- Henry
    ----------------Shearer

Think that team would be fairly deadly with Henry and Ronaldo feeding off the knock downs from Shearer.

Both great players but the only one of that front three I would consider swapping them for is Ronaldo and I just can't imagine an all time premier league side without him on the right wing. Just goes to show how many top top quality players there have been in this league, it's hard to argue with anyone elses teams as well.

Its to hard, i can't fit Bergkamp, Shearer, Ronaldo, Cantona, Henry and SKP into the same team..

Unless i just go all out attacking

Your system doesn't really accommodate them but fair play fella. I set my system around one of them. Tried tinkering a million times in the past to accomadate them both but it can't be done :p

Seems to be a bit of an agreement on the full backs, everyone putting Neville and Cole so far that I've seen.
