Sorry, what I meant to say was that Bridcutt combines the tackling of Vidic with the passing of Beckham and the attacking prowess of Lampard. Great player, worth 35 mil easy.

All well and good offering the players at a reduced rate... Problem is when the club offering the reduced rate doesn't match the wages they're on.... Totally agree though!!

That's a good point, there's only Mannone and Fletcher who could secure a premier league club and they will be getting paid more then there worth in wages now. Well definitely Fletcher, not so much Vito.

I've been watching a bit cricket lately at Chester, been to Burnopfield and Lintz also (used to enjoy playing on that ground). Been told there's a canny little ground in Kimblesworth? Any ideas where that is? You will have to direct me from the shops as soon as you go into the estate/village.

If you could ever get out for a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon, you are more than welcome to meet up with me and brother at one of the clubs. He's more of a Cricketer than me, he played for the County and had trials with Durham's young uns but he was to lightweight then (He's a quick bowler). Built up now but got a shoulder injury which has stopped him playing this season. Actually (I'm waffling now) he had a game for the thirds but told them he couldn't bowl and would just be batting. He got 28, not bad for a bowler!

I live in nettlesworth less than 5 mins from that ground!! If you are coming from the red lion, take the left into kimblesworth and follow the road. It's about 1/3 mile down on the left. You can't miss it. Failing that PM me and I'll send you my address and you can give me a knock and I will come with you if I've no plans!

I'm hoping a reduced fee would help buying teams to up the wages a bit, two of them only need a year subsiding from us. Brid and Buckley came in when taking a harder line on wages, should be able to shift them. Fingers crossed.

Thnk fletch isn't up to the standards of the premier league anymore, was a big fan when we signed him and my fav memories were his 2 goals away to swansea ironically First game for us I think.

Not sure why Fletch gets as much jip as he does tbh

Literally nothing in terms of creativity in the midfield to help him or any of the other strikers

Graham is **** but at least he is making up for it with his work rate
Defoe has had **** all to work with
Fletcher is technically our best forward, can hold the ball up, bit trickery and his conversion rate is still the highest we have
Wickham has been diabolical due to his decision making

He has been used mainly under MON and Gus as a hold up striker...always having to keep the ball until the rest of the team dawdle up the pitch (which in all fairness I could move quicker than half of them)

If he was to be utilised as an out and out striker and we were able to get some crosses into the box he'd be a superb player, just needs something to feed off

If I am right in thinking he is still level with Dzeko for having the most headed goals in the prem since 2012/13? and that was with an entire season out...

Was his goal against Chelsea his first in 6months mate? He missed a few sitters last season too. Not just that his attitude off the pitch (Lamborghini pic) was piss poor in my eyes..

It was yes and yeah he did miss a few sitters, but being a sunderland player I'd be a little concerned if he didnt...all strikers miss

Fletcher, 1722 minutes total, 5 goals and 2 assists
Wickham, 2973 minutes total, 6 goals and 1 assist
Defoe, 1631 minutes total, 4 goals and 1 assist
Graham, 627 minutes (Prem), 1 goal and 1 assist

That to me shows that Fletcher is on par with Defoe in terms of what he is doing for the team...

As for the Lamborghini pic, as if we wouldnt be doing the exact same! Brand new Lambo, of course your going to be showing it off!
Nothing to do with attitude, just enjoying the money he is getting

Some great points there Indiana especially regarding fletch/Defoe I miss steed mate. I'm hoping giach and lens can come to the table this season.. The Lamborghini pic for me was mistiming as we were in a relegation scrap and the bloke was showing off something expensive he brought which I don't believe he deserved.. I'm being harsh yes but show that **** off if your Actually earning it <ok>

Gotta agree that a lot of the flak Fletch gets is not remotely to do with ability.

He is a prick, and he does often look disinterested, but maybe that's born of frustration at the appaling service.

I'm with Indi, he is a player with lovely toucha nd ability at times, but his head is so far up his arse now he needs to be moved on.

I'd wager wherever he goes and starts fresh, he'll do well.

He doesn't hold the ball up well though. He loses the ball. His passing doesn't break the 70% mark, his take on's and heading duels are both way lower than 50%. He may hang to the ball for a few seconds longer due to his physical presence but then he loses possession time and time again. He's not the only one though. Wickham is **** too. We need a striker who actually betters their physical presence and betters their footballing capabilities imo

I'm not seeing the ability, whether it's because he's incapable or can't be arsed is irrelevant. He's been ****e, he's got to go.

I agree he has to go, but to say he has no ability is absolutely not true. He's a very tidy player when he's in the right place, he'll never get back there here.
