Looking at our fixtures there is a great opportunity for us to get 7+ points on the board in the first 4 games before the international break.

Leicester Away
Norwich Home
Swansea Home
Aston Villa Away

1-1
2-0
2-1
0-0
Would see us with 8 points on the board, am I being overly optimistic? I can't remember the last time we had a good start to the season. :(
What results can you see for the first 4 games?

I don't much like the look of that Norwich game. At the start of the season, the newly-promoted clubs are always full of themselves, looking for a big scalp, and always punch above their weight. It's like FA Cup Third Round - anything can happen. It's not a bad first four games for us - but I wouldn't like to bet on that Norwich one.

I agree if it was away but not at home. We normally get the newly promoted teams away first so iam please its at home for a change.

Leicester with Raneiri in charge !,( Greece were awful) and with Leicester (and Greece !) in disarray at the minute, so when we finally get in Charlie Austin and Ashley young, we should beat Norwich, Swansea and Villa and draw at Leicester. If Villa win their first 3 games they will start a crap run so good timing for us.

Do you ride a unicycle for a job by any chance?

Really think it's so difficult to call, that dross I've watched in America will be 2 points from 2 home games, what impact lens brings and surely whoever could turn it into 7 over the 4 games. I know it's alleged training but scary to say the least

2pts from swans n villa, best to avoid promoted teams early doors they really up for it.

To be honest, we couldn't have asked for any easier of a start. We should certainly be aiming to finish them 4 games unbeaten. However, it doesn't ever work like that and in all honesty, I would probably take 6pts now if it was offered, anything above that and it's a cracking start.

If we make no more signings before the end of August....

2-0 Lose
1-1
0-2 Lose
2-0 Lose

So if we make no more signings, we should finish the season on about 9 or 10 points?

'Should be' easy games there, so if you have us down for 1pt out of 4, after 38 games that will take us to maybe double figures.

Remember when we beat spurs in hong kong under pdc and we were all bleating on about how well we'll start the season <whistle> The Difference this time for me is DA and some more Quality in the team. Let's wait and see mate <ale>
8 points fellas two wins then two draws

Best set of opening fixtures we could hope for, without making it too tough down the line. I'll wait to see if we bring a midfielder with attacking intent before I lay my predictions down.

@Jermain man Defoe Welcome to the board. :)
