He's a bugger for catching right though he has that many runners, knowing which ones to back is very difficult
Errrr see above!! It has to come into consideration. I know a certain yard which had a virus they managed to keep quiet. All their horses were running like drains but remained short prices. Any fool could see the yard were having issues but seems some people would still be backing them?! Amazing. How can that not be vital?! I'm dumbfounded.....
Morning, you types. Feel a bit redundant right now as I had, as my regular readers are aware, been expecting to land a right coup today. That was until said beast was pulled out. Anyway, never mind. Question of the day now must be who will Her Majesty, God bless her and save her, be saluting after today’s big race?!? I take it she is presenting the pot to winning connections.
Well thats different then isn't it? if there's a virus then surely they shouldn't even be running the horses as they are poorly and clearly not fully fit, thats not just a yard that are out of form
I wouldn't even have looked twice at Enlane in the 3 15 @ Ascot @ 25s if it wasn't for Johnston being in red hot form, he's won the last 2 runnings of this (Johnston not enlace). and this is the only one he has in the race this year and the yards in ripe form so it definitely looks good for a place
No, not really, its an extreme example but illustrates a point. You have to consider it. Im not saying its the be all and end all but should come into consideration every time you look at a horse. I would still back a horse from an out of form stable if I really fancied it although I wouldn't be as confident so my stake would reflect that.
Today's hopefuls Portage Blaine Lincoln Chain of Daisys Golden Horn if he runs Bragging Intense Style Good luck all
That's fair enough. It's not something I've ever considered but seems quite an important thing for people on here who are a lot more knowledgable than me. I've obviously noticed if a stable is in particularly good form such as Johnston at the moment but that's usually because I back him quite regularly anyway. Maybe I should try looking at stable form for a bit and see if it changes how I bet and how much more often I lose. I still feel relatively new to betting on horses, probably only been doing it around 7 years or so and still struggle to grasp half of the stuff that's discussed on here sometimes
I just find sometimes when a stables red-hot then it's a good time to follow them, Ruth Carr usually has a serious 2 month purple patch each year with so many big priced winners, same with Amanda Perrett, Ivorys another one too he's is mainly on the AW winter wise around oct/nov
Much as it would be marvellous for this NH fan to see a former half decent hurdler mug off these blue bloods owned by various Arab dictators and landed gentry I can't see it at all. Hugh Taylor must have taken leave of his senses putting up Clever Cookie. CC even has to give 12 lb to a good Derby winner. No chance surely whatever the ground. Unlike some though I do like a cavalry charge in soft ground. So Lincoln and Rene Mathis in the Ascot lottery and Blaine and Highland Acclaim in the York lottery. All ew and an ew double Rene Mathis and Blaine. Good luck all
Pivotal progeny around 7.9f max. OK, stamina on dam's side, but even with the soft ground not wild about Pivotals over a mile-and-a-half. Sure could be wrong though! Anyway, I'm off fishing, will record big race, best of luck all!
On a side note going to have to keep a note of Bill Prestage's horses at Kenilworth, he's got a £120 profit to a £1 level stake so far, doesn't have that many runners either
Got one in the 1:30 - George Rex 40/1, but he did just have a 66/1 winner so doubt it will do anything
There's only one jockey to follow at the moment. Mr De Sousa. Doubles with Golden Horn on each of the following. 1.45 York Mythical City 7-1 2.20 York Intense Style 14-1 2.55 York Top Notch Tonto 7-1 3.30 York Shore Step 12-1 4.05 York Athollblair Boy 40-1 4.40 York Full Day 5-1 5.1o Ravenhoe 4-1
Golden Horn & Clever cookie forecast looks the banker, Clever Cookie's gunna eat up the ground but GH should have too much class, by about 1 length i reckon
