Pardew wanted to finalise his squad before the US tour, doesn't look like that will happen...Oh well we still have time, plenty of time, a lot of time, ages...............

But Warrior are owned by the same guy that owns Liverpool so that massive sponsorship deal will have to pass FIFA scrutiny for the clause for "fair value". Any excessive income cannot be included in your break even calculation (Man City will have to do the same with the Etihad deal). So don't assume that you actually will be able to take all that income into account when you provide your return to FIFA. But FIFA will not rule on this in advance so you will have to bide your time and wait. Worrying times for your club if you are relying on that desperate act of building up your income in order to balance the books.

Warrior are not owned by John Henry. Warrior is owned by New Balance, who are based in Boston, but they have nothing to do with John Henry.

Stop fukin moaning for ****s sake!!!! So this is mikes fault taylor and zog arnt coming here!!?? Let me get this straight were offering 10m or gerviniho and 10m for gameiro and they turned us down we bid 10m for zoggy in jan and have had bids for erdinc and taylor truned down plus we have bought cabaye and signed ba and marveaux so mike is investing in the club and hes putting in substancial bids for realistic targets just because a oplayer turns us down doesnt mean its mikes fault does it! I mean i know hes unpopular but we dont have to blame him for everything. Would you rather we didnt try sign anyone? Then you wouldnt have to live with the pain of rejection??

Anybody who says they don't want N'Zogbia here is talking out of their arse! If we managed to sign him for 8-10 million you're saying you still wouldn't want him here?

I think we need 2 more players to come in, hopefully another Winger and a top striker... Let's wait and see how the team looks at the end of August, then we can judge Ashley, Lambias and Pardew.

I'd appreciate it if you linked me to these articles saying that John Henry owns New Balance.

Blood hell, cheer up man. We've got five new players effectively with the new signings, Gosling and Ben Arfa. I'm starting to think it's increasingly more likely that we'll keep Joey & Jose for the season, meaning we're one more signing (the striker) away from having a squad capable of a top eight finish. For our second season back that is more than acceptable. Yes we'd all like a few big money signings - but not if that places the clubs finances under strain. If we finish 8th next season we can hopefully push on again. We've got as good a squad and starting XI as anybody outside of the top 6 and some very good young prospects to bolster the ranks (Ferguson being the best example).

If you don't cheer up I'll expect to see you feature in a newspaper article that ends something along the lines of ".....before turning the gun on himself".

I really like an answer OverseasTOON posted on a linked article about NUFC not spending any money...

In the end, someone here will be able to say the were right and "I told you so"
but what's the point slogging it out over pure conjecture at this moment in time?

Thank God there'll be something to panic/feel good about* tomorrow...

The press are reporting it's erdnic's agent that is the stumbling block on the deal. Apparently erdnic would come but it's the bonus payments to his agent that are putting the brakes on.

Agent's once again, looking after their own interests rather than the players.
