Does anyone have (or have the effort to compile) a breakdown of Rodgers's spending across: Defence, Central Mid and Attack?

I think it's safe to say bulk of money has gone into attack but wanted a bit more detail.

Reus was injured in training the other day. Talented player but injury prone - wouldn't touch him.

Given that he's bought Migs, Clyne, Sakho, Lovren, and Moreno (plus Toure, Bogdan, Gomez and Manquillo on loan), that's what, 70-80 million spent? So it's hardly been neglected. If it was money well spent is a different issue.

Attackers: Balotelli, Studge, Aspas, Lambert, Borini, Ings, Origi - that's around 60-70 million. Obviously gets more if you add Benteke, Firmino and Markovic (last two I would count more as midfielders, Benteke not yet signed?).

Midfield - Lallana, Markovic, Allen, Firmino, Coutinho, Alberto - that's about 100 million.

I've missed quite a few off, but I think that's the main (most expensive) ones.

We've certainly made more money selling attackers than selling defenders. <whistle>

EDIT: Forgot Can - so that's around 10 million more for either midfield or defence.

Complete bollox and usually just narrative with clandestine unnamed "sources" and no direct quotes whatsoever.

They just use the pebble dash approach to rumours.

I would class Lallana, Marko, Firmo, Coutinho as attackers, not midfield.

right now there is one point we should all really note

for the first time since G&H came in LFC have a full squad of players.

Thats nearly 10 years ago those ****s came in and nearly ruined us and we were fighting off administration and huge losses

whether or not its a **** squad is up to whomever. rivals wil say what they say.

but... FSG have allowed us to spend a shed load of money (some generated by them giving us interest free loans, some by sales) and we have a big squad capable of competing.

Since 2007 LFC have not really had more than one or two strikers.. we have 4.

in 2010 we had barely a decent 11 players.

irrespective of the quality its now one in one out from now on IMO.

LFC have a 2 players in each position. even LB if you let a right footed cover it and consider enrique is not sold.

we've excess players like borini and lambert to be sold still.

Hopefully......... well hopefully we can work up from here.

Fair enough, I think that's getting into semantics a bit though. But I know what you mean.

I thought Marko was a RWB though? <whistle>

    anyone know this one?

Liverpool and Arsenal have been joined by Bayern Munich in the race to sign Kingsley Coman.

The 19-year-old Juventus star is billed as one of the hottest properties in European football but has reportedly revealed his frustration at a lack of game time in Turin.

Speculation is mounting that Germany World Cup winner Mario Gotze could join the Italian double winners this summer, opening the door for the 19-year-old French star to move to the Bundesliga champions.

It has been reported by L'Equipe that Bayern will bid for Coman this week although the Bianconeri are reluctant to pass on the youth prodigy whom they signed from Paris Saint-Germain in 2013.

Brendan Rodgers' side and the Gunners have both been linked with the forward but Bayern appears to be his next destination if Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri decides to sell and Gotze heads in the opposite direction.

I have note heard of him.
