Don't even want to think about that mate. Anyway he seems to have lost all interest. He's more into the xbox these days, plus I think he's discovered tits.
Cheers, but list Boro youth players that have made it in the premier league and made a good career in it, or Hartlepool for that matter. Its too early in the morning for this but Downing/AJ are the only ones I can think of, there has to be more but mind is blank. Yes, they may break through but in the lower divisions, im pretty sure if we were still in the Championship we would have seen more, but the loss in revenue is that great (the cost of the acadamy pales in comparison) for relegation, the kids never really get a chance, and gone are the days when you can do a Man U with kids, unless you get very lucky and have 3-4 exceptional talents coming through at once.
K that's 3, and 2 play for us, and we have been skirting relegation season after season, not saying it's their fault or they are bad players, but they havnt exactly set the world a light. Harry Kane got a chance, he hit the ground running and scored goals, if he went 5 games and spurs got beat in all of them without scoring we probably would have never seen him again. Rooney scored that wonder goal, toon went after him, man u had to get him as the toon were title rivals back then. Sterling, I still don't think he is any good, takes 9 tries to get round a player and his finishing is terrible imo, but he's young and got pace and an England international, so he comes at a premium, but if Liverpool were not flying with Suarez 2 seasons ago, I doubt he would have got much of a chance. Everyone seems to knock our acadamy, but which acadamy has brought through lots of English/British players that have been exceptional in recent years, there isnt many exceptional English/British players full stop in all honesty. (Southampton maybe).
In answer to the question, unless the senior players can get us off to a good start, and we can be safe by March then I doubt we will see many get a chance, if we hit the ground running then they will get a chance earlier. But only the manager can answer the question, we can only speculate. PS: even if Watmore makes it, the acadamy still won't get any credit, as we bought him.
Boro's academy products since it opened in 1998 to 2013. These are players who've played first team football. If we can include Waghorn all these must be included too. Please don't ask me to research how much they've raised in transfer fees Stuart Parnaby 1998-07 & 2012 Brad Jones 1998-2010 Luke Wilkshire 1999-2003 Carlos Marinelli 1999-2003 Brian Close 1999-2004 Craig Dove 1999-2004 Stewart Downing 2000-2009 David Murphy 2000-2004 Jamie Cade 2000-2003 Andrew Davies 2001-2007 Ross Turnbull 2001-2009 Andrew Taylor 2002-2011 Tony McMahon 2002-2012 Danny Graham 2002-2007 James Morrison 2002-2007 Jason Kennedy 2003-2008 Matthew Bates 2003-2012 Adam Johnson 2003-2010 David Wheater 2003-2011 Tom Craddock 2003-2009 Graeme Owens 2004-2009 Jonathan Grounds 2004-2012 Lee Cattermole 2004-2008 Seb Hines 2004-present Rhys Williams 2005-present Ben Hutchinson 2004-2006 Josh Walker 2005-2010 John Johnson 2005-2010 Jonathan Franks 2008-2010 Joe Bennett 2008-2012 Jason Steele 2008-present Richie Smallwood 2007-present Cameron Park 2008-present Luke Williams 2009-present Connor Ripley 2009-present Ben Gibson 2009-present Adam Reach 2010-present Jordan Jones 2011-12-present Bryn Morris 2012-present
Yeah mate. Intrigue is getting the best for me so totting up transfers. It really is an impressive turnover.

Most of the big fees came before the massive football inflation that's occurred in the last half decade. Stopped checking fees at number 30 Very very impressive.
Southampton, Tottenham, Everton, Man Utd, Liverpool and West Ham. All those clubs have had success in recent years bringing through youth.
See, that's what I mean. Thanks to Bri for putting the effort in, I couldn't be arsed. Boro have a good track record, we have a **** one.
Could be Gyan, when Al Ain paid up their final installment to us he'd cost 30m in transfers, his latest move to that Chinese club is undisclosed with no clue to the fee. But Jordan is the product who's raised the most with a single transfer.
If you went through all of the players that came through the acadamy I bet it would add up as well, ok we tend to release quite a few, and they just seem to disappear but then im not one to follow every Tom Dick and Harry that we have ever produced. Ben Alnwick 900k is just one other that we got cash for.
