I'm amazed and disappointed that Pulis would tolerate this. During the Falklands war there were a few Argentinians playing in England. They managed to concentrate on playing the game and avoid any controversy. This little ****er should never be allowed to play in this country again.
Agreed. I hate that he's using our beloved game as a political platform. Not the place and he needs dealing with swiftly by Pulis.
I have absolutely nothing against his beliefs. If he doesn't like us he doesn't like us and he might have a very good reason why, I don't know! What I have against him though is his total mind numbing child like hypocrisy by earning a privileged living in the country that he is so strongly against. I'd be ashamed of myself If I was in his shoes.
Ill tell you why mate, because he's **** scared of upsetting the ****ers that run the community he comes from.
I reckon it's because he had politics rammed down his throat growing up so has become an idiotic, brainwashed, ignorant man.
Its like he's doing some sort of balancing act by diluting his beliefs when it comes to making a healthy living in an 'enemy' country but whilst doing so still showing his beliefs to try to appease a potentially angry mob back home. I just don't think that will quite wash, as far as both sides of the Irish Sea are concerned!
Di Canio was pilloried in the press for his political beliefs. Many supporters will object to their hard earned money which they use to pay for match tickets finding its way into the pockets of McClean (and then who knows which political or paramilitary organisation from there). Whilst McClean remembers Bloody Sunday, I'm sure that many of the West Brom supporters will still remember and have lost friends and family in the Birmingham pub bombings targeting ordinary folk enjoying a night out. Others will have served in the forces in Ireland. If he wants to make money as a (piss poor) pro footballer then he should save his political beliefs for after his football career. Anelka (ironically while with West Brom) suffered a long ban and then was let go by the club for his political gesture. McClean should be dealt with in the same way.
He doesn't though, he wasn't born, he only knows what he's been told and that's me point on the brainwashing. He can believe in what he wants, no problem with it, but politics has no place in football imo. I'd take the poppies of the shirts too. Wish politics would leave football alone. The politics within the game is damaging enough. It's poisonous imo. Agreed Pulis and the WBA board should get some ****ing balls.
"The politics within the game is damaging enough. It's poisonous imo" Wearing a poppy on a shirt, or respecting another country's flag has got nothing to do with politics . . . . it's simply about respect Anybody, never mind Jimmy Toothpaste, who has no respect for the soldiers that died during The Great War (why's it called that ?) for the benefit of us all, should be deported (to put it mildly) What a twat he is
When society starts telling somebody how to show respect it becomes political. If you see politics as government related activity fair dos, but that's not politics in it entirety. Politics also applies to principles and status. the second somebody tells what you principles should be or the raising of awareness for anything begins then it becomes political. It's form of politics That's a fact. It has no place for me. Imo there shouldn't be Poppies automatically put on shirts, it should be opt in, not out. There shouldn't national anthems for club teams either. Just my opinion as believe it injects politics needlessly it's a game of football I think it should be left that way. That said. they're in place so publicly protesting when it come to the crunch is worse as it can only be viewed as disrespectful. He is indeed a twat. Of the highest order
Have I missed something? Has he done or said something since he signed for WBA? If so I've missed it Please can someone let me know what he has done
So that's why the Queens head on his bank notes is some how acceptable. Makes sense. He's a shower of ****. He should take his political ****e and **** off away from the English game. Poison he is.
It's weird mate. In certain parts of the UK they collect for the cause if you know what I mean. Not just in NI but in parts of Glasgow & London too - Kilburn being a prime example. You're better off just chucking a bit change in rather than risk your knee caps. Like I say, I know how it works.
